Timer TCS4 is intended for specific use in refrigeration systems to determine defrosting cycle. TCS4 can control the defrosting cycle by programming
interval and duration. End defrosting temperature can be determinated
using an external thermal-switch collocated on evaporator. It’s also possible
to carry out the fan stop during defrost and their re-start after a defrost cycle. By means a key it’s possible to execute manual defrost cycles.

El modelo TCS4 es un temporizador electrónico utilizable en las instalaciones frigoríficas donde se desea administrar ciclos de deshielo.
El instrumento, además de controlar intervalo y duración de los ciclos de
deshielo puede interrumpir el ciclo de deshielo por logro temperatura utilizando un termostato externo instaladado típicamente sobre el evaporador,
con el objetivo de interrumpir el funcionamiento de los ventiladores y

2 - ADVERTENCIAS POR INSTALACIÓN Y EMPLEO / INFORMATION
ON INSTALLATION AND USE
EMPLEO PERMITIDO - El instrumento ha sido concebido en conformidad
con la norma EN60730-1 por el funcionamiento a altitudes hasta a 2000 m.
El empleo del instrumento en aplicaciones no expresamente previstas por
la norma sobre citada tiene que prever todas las adecuadas medidas de
protección. El instrumento no puede ser utilizado en entornos con atmósfera peligrosa, inflamable u explosiva, sin una adecuada protección. Se recuerda que el instalador tiene que asegurarse que las normas relativas a la
compatibilidad electromagnética también sean respetadas después de la
instalación del instrumento, eventualmente utilizando adecuados filtros. En
caso de que una avería o un funcionamiento defectuoso del aparato pueda
crear situaciones peligrosas o perjudiciales para personas, cosas o animales se acuerda que la instalación tiene que ser predispuesta con aparatos
electromecánicos adicionales actos a garantizar un correcto nivel de seguridad.
PERMITTED USE - The instrument has been projected and manufactured
to be used according to EN60730-1 for the altitudes operation until 2000
ms. The use of the instrument for applications not expressly permitted by
the above mentioned rule must adopt all the necessary protective
measures. The instrument CANNOT be used in dangerous environments
(flammable or explosive) without adequate protection. The installer must
ensure that EMC rules are respected, also after the instrument installation,
if necessary using proper filters. Whenever a failure or a malfunction of the
device may cause dangerous situations for persons, thing or animals,
please remember that the plant has to be equipped with additional devices
which will guarantee safety.
MONTAJE MECÁNICO - El instrumento, en carcasa de 2 módulos DIN, es
concebido para el montaje dentro de una envoltura. Evitar colocar el instrumento en lugares sometidos a alta humedad o suciedad que pueden provocar agua de condensación o introducción en el instrumento de partes o sustancias conductivas. Asegurarse que el instrumento tenga una adecuada
ventilación y evitar la instalación en contenedores dónde son colocados
aparatos que puedan llevar el instrumento a funcionar fuera de los límites
de temperatura declarados. Instalar el instrumento el más lejano posible de
manantiales que pueden engendrar molestias electromagnéticas como motor, contactores, relé, electroválvulas, etcétera
MECHANICAL MOUNTING - The instrument, in 2 DIN modules case, is
designed for inside enclosure mounting. Avoid placing the instrument in
environments with very high humidity levels or dirt that may create
condensation or introduction of conductive substances into the instrument.
Ensure adequate ventilation to the instrument and avoid installation in
containers that house devices which may overheat or which may cause the
instrument to function at a higher temperature than the one permitted and
declared. Connect the instrument as far away as possible from sources of
electromagnetic disturbances such as motors, power relays, relays,
solenoid valves, etc.

CONEXIONES ELÉCTRICAS - Efectuar las conexiones conectando a un
solo conductor por borne y siguiéndo el esquema indicado, controlando que
la tensión de alimentación sea aquella indicada sobre el instrumento y que
la absorción de los actuadores unidos al instrumento no sea superior al
valor maximo de corriente permitido. El instrumento, siendo previsto por
enlace permanente dentro de un aparado, no es dotado ni de interruptor ni
de dispositivo interiores de protección de extracorriente. Se encomienda de
utilizar cables con aislamiento apropiado a las tensiones, a las
temperaturas y a las condiciones de ejercicio y de hacer de modo que los
cables relativos a los sensores de entrada sean tenidos lejanos de los
cables de alimentación y de otros cables de potencia para evitar la
inducción de molestias electromagnéticas. Si algunos cables utilizados por
el cableado son escudados se rencomienda de conectarlos a tierra de un
solo lado. Antes de conectar las salidas a los actuadores se encomienda
de controlar que los parámetros programados sean aquéllos deseados y
que la aplicación funciona correctamente para evitar anomalías en la
instalación que puedan causar daños a personas, cosas o animales.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION - Carry out the electrical wiring by connecting
only one wire to each terminal, according to the following diagram, checking
that the power supply is the same as that indicated on the instrument and
that the load current absorption is no higher than the maximum electricity
current permitted. As the instrument is built-in equipment with permanent
connection inside housing, it is not equipped with either switches or internal
devices to protect against overload of current: the installation will include an
overload protection and a two-phase circuit-breaker, placed as near as
possible to the instrument, and located in a position that can easily be
reached by the user and marked as instrument disconnecting device which
interrupts the power supply to the equipment. It is also recommended that
the supply of all the electrical circuits connected to the instrument must be
protect properly, using devices (ex. fuses) proportionate to the circulating
currents. It is strongly recommended that cables with proper insulation,
according to the working voltages and
temperatures, be used.
Furthermore, the input cable has to be kept separate from line voltage
wiring. If the input cable is screened, it has to be connected to the ground
with only one side. We recommend that a check should be made that the
parameters are those desired and that the application functions correctly
before connecting the outputs to the actuators so as to avoid malfunctioning
that may cause irregularities in the plant that could cause damage to
people, things or animals.

about the immediate withdrawal of the warranty’s effects. In the event of a
faulty instrument, either within the period of warranty, or further to its expiry,

instrument to our company. The faulty product must be shipped to ASCON
TECNOLOGIC with a detailed description of the faults found, without any
fees or charge for ASCON TECNOLOGIC, except in the event of alternative
agreements.

wet cloth using water and not abrasive cleaners or solvents.
GARANTÍA Y REPARACIONES - El instrumento es garantizado por vicios
de construcción o defectos de material reclamados dentro de los 12 meses
de la fecha de entrega. La garantía se limita a la reparación o a la sustitución del producto. La eventual abertura del contenedor, la manumisión del
instrumento o el empleo y la instalación no conforme comporta automáticamente la decadencia de la garantía. En caso de producto defectuoso en
período de garantía o fuera período de garantía contactar el departamento
de ventas ASCON TECNOLOGIC para conseguir la autorización al envío.
