surgery should have access to this work. Based on talent and
years of study and practice, Dr. Menick has acquired a degree
of excellence that is perhaps insurmountable. He now conveys his experience ‘‘from A to Z’’. Always on the basis of
solid principles (repeated again and again throughout the
book), he explains in detail how to plan and execute a reconstruction of the nose. From his own experience, he shows

what works and what does not, and why. The entire book
emphasises careful planning of the reconstruction and how
it should be based on the original defect, often distorted by
the contraction of tissues during scarring. Frequently found
is useful, specific and practical advice. The number of cases
presented and the great video included perfectly illustrate
the explanations and the author’s philosophy and round out
an altogether highly-recommendable work.
