Sumario
Strategic Special Operations and Global SOF are an essential instrument of western
governments. The ability to deploy in hostile territories to safeguard the lives of
fellow nationals, defend legitimate interests or neutralise unacceptable risks is even
more important in a new environment of ever-growing complexity in international
security. Special Operation Forces are a last resource tool in the hands of
governments willing to act when all other options have been exhausted. Today,
special operations take a leading role in the global security environment. Its higher
expeditionary focus, in cooperation among allies. The new Global SOF concept,
considers special operations in a theatre that covers the world, working together
with other sister services. This international symposium is one of the first events
taking place in Spain to further the knowledge of strategic special operations and
Global SOF among European military personnel, professionals and analysts. This
international expert forum will provide fully bilingual simultaneous translation in
Spanish and English.

-SYMPOSIUM- Objective: ]To improve professional and academic knowledge of
the "Global SOF" concept, international/ strategic special operations and the
growing tendency to enhance inter-service cooperation and networking among
allied nations.
