Hello parents and students, I apologize for the delayed announcement. For the parents that
are following the smiley/indifferent faces, it is only for motivation to speak English in class.
Also, I am not in the school on Mondays and I may miss some days if we are on a field trip. All
of the kids are showing a lot of improvement and we are so proud of everyone!

siguiendo las caras del smiley / indiferentes , es sólo para motivación para hablar en clase .
Además, no estoy en la escuela los lunes y me puede pasar por alto algunos días si estamos en

Rules:
There is (one object), There isn´t (one object not there), There are (many objects), There aren’t
any (many objects not there)
Common Mistakes:
Sometimes students confuse there isn´t any with there isn´t a.
Also, they have trouble coming up with an answer for isn´t and aren´t because the object is not
there. They must use their imagination. However, give them a minute, and then offer
examples such as monsters, animals, famous futbol players and so forth.
Errores comunes:
A veces los estudiantes no confunda con cualquier there isn´t any and there aren´t a.
Además, tienen problemas para llegar a una respuesta para isn´t y aren´t porque el objeto no

Game #1: In the Car
A fun simple game to use with there is, there isn´t, there are, and there aren´t any is when
you’re driving in the car, go back and forth with answers.
For instance, ¨there is a small blue car¨, and the student responds with ¨there is a large brown
building.¨ Continue to point out objects in the street and outside the window.
More points if they say the size, color, preposition and location.

included three examples of answers to challenge your kids. All are complete sentences.
However, if the first answers are too easy, ask for the color, or a preposition (on, in, next to)
and location.
