Comunicación para las escuelas con residentes en formación, nacionales e internacionales
ENCUENTRO: “DIAGNOSTICANDO POR UN PREMIO”
(Competencia de diagnóstico para residentes y radiólogos en general)
Durante el Congreso Internacional de Diagnóstico por Imágenes (ICR2016) que se realizará en el mes de
septiembre de 2016 en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, se desarrollará el concurso “Diagnosticando por un
Premio”. Consiste en la presentación de imagen/imágenes por parte de un panel de coordinadores que
deben ser reconocidas por los equipos participantes quienes, mediante el toque de una campanilla, tendrán la
oportunidad de realizar el diagnóstico de la patología que se le presente. Un miembro del equipo, denominado
“líder” deberá ser el responsable para acudir a tocar la campanilla y para hacer el diagnóstico.
El concurso estará dividido en dos partes: la primera parte, durante la primera hora destinada a equipos
compuestos solamente por residentes en formación y jefes de residentes; y la segunda parte, de
dos horas de duración, con la participación de residentes en formación y el agregado de profesionales
radiólogos ya formados (jefe de servicio, miembro de staff, instructor docente, etc).
Para constituir con anticipación a los equipos participantes y con el objeto de ordenarlos por colores para la
participación en el concurso, le solicitamos enviarnos el nombre de cada uno de los componentes del
grupo el nombre del líder, la escuela/residencia a la que pertenece y el nombre de los
radiólogos no residentes que se agregarán en la segunda parte.
Los grupos / equipos deberán:
- Estar constituidos por al menos 5 participantes, con un máximo de 10
(incluyendo a los radiólogos no residentes que se agregarán en la segunda parte).
- Tener un líder que se encargará de correr hacia la campana y responder la consigna.
- Constituir equipos entre dos escuelas / residencias diferentes en caso de no poder cubrir
el número de participantes con una sola escuela / residencia.
- Formar equipos por residencia / escuela, provincia o países a elección.
- Si se trata de un equipo / grupo de una escuela / residencia extranjera, podrán presentar un equipo
con un menor número de participantes en caso de no acceder al mínimo de 5 residentes / radiólogos.
El grupo coordinador de la presentación, formado por médicos radiólogos de FAARDIT y SAR, estará también
constituyendo el jurado encargado de aplicar los puntajes de acuerdo a los diagnósticos realizados por los
diferentes equipos / grupos.

de camaradería y de evaluación de conocimientos en una forma distendida y divertida.
El tiempo para inscribirse on-line expirará el 5 de setiembre de 2016. No obstante, existirá la
posibilidad de realizar la inscripción durante el Congreso. Sin embargo, por cuestiones de ordenamiento previo,
les rogamos inscribirse antes de la fecha estipulada más arriba.

MEETING: DIAGNOSING FOR A PRIZE
(Diagnosis competition for residents and radiologists in general)
The competition “Diagnosing for a prize” will take place during the International Conference of Diagnostic
Imaging (IC 2016) that will be held in september 2016 in the city of Buenos Aires. The coordinators will present
images with pathologies for participants to identify and, after ringing a small bell, they will get the opportunity to provide the diagnosis for that pathology. One of the members of the team, called the leader, will be responsible for running
to the bell and ringing it, and provide a diagnosis.
The competition consists of two parts: the first part lasts for an hour and it is intended for teams of residents and
chief residents; the second part lasts for two hours and it is intended for residents with the incorporation of
trained professionals of radiology (chiefs of the departments, members of staff, professors, etc.).
To form the participating groups in advance, which will be divided by color, please send us the name of each of the
team members, the name of the leader, the radiology institution they will be representing,
and the names of trained radiologists who will participate during the second part.
Teams shall:
- Have between 5 and 10 members (including professional radiologists who will participate during the second part).
- Have a leader in charge of running to the bell and ringing it to provide the diagnosis.
- Join in with residents from other radiology institutions in case there are groups that do not have enough numbers of
participants.
- Be composed by members from different institutions, provinces or countries; it is a free choice.
- Have less than 5 residents/radiologists members only in case of the team comes from another country.
The coordinators who will present the images are members of FAARDIT (Argentine Federation of Associations of Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, and Radiotherapy) and SAR (Argentine Society of Radiology), and will be the judges responsible for assigning points to the diagnoses provided by the different teams.

Even though teams will be able to register during the conference, we kindly ask you to register in advance for organizational purposes. You will have time to register on-line until September 5th, 2016.
