snacks and lunches to our students testing for the
Camarillo Academic Olympics. Please continue
supporting PFO in its fundraising and parent
volunteer coordination efforts for school events.

 1:1 Computing
In the next two weeks we will begin distributing
computers to students in grades 3-8. These
computers, like textbooks, will be loaned to
students for the rest of this year. Like you, we want your children to
be safe, knowledgeable and efficient with technology.
We have an existing Acceptable Use Policy that you have read,
reviewed and agreed to in the Student Parent Handbook we
distribute at the beginning of the year. If you would like to review

In addition to our District Policy we have attached a document to
Mesa Matters that shows the expectations for student use of the
technology Mesa will loan them. Please have a focused conversation
with your children about our 1:1 rules so that we can be excellent
partners in your child(ren)'s use of technology. It is important to
know that, for now, these devices will stay at school. They will not
go home.
As we deliver these devices to children, your classroom teachers will
also deliver lessons on digital citizenship to make sure that students
understand what our expectations are for their use of technology
and that we will work as a community to ensure their safety.

We will schedule a technology evening in late February or early
March to answer your questions and provide important resources.
Announcements
 Camarillo Academic Olympics (CAO)
Congratulations to our Mesa students that competed in the city-wide
preliminary rounds. Mesa was well represented. Thank you to the
parent volunteers that help coordinate transportation, scheduling
and supervision of the students at the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club.
This was the first year Mesa provided a bus shuttle that help
generate a sense of pride and togetherness.
 Kinder 2016-2017
Please look at our Kindergarten flyer attached to Mesa Matters. We
will hold a Kindergarten Open House on February 23rd at 6:00pm for
families who will have their children attend Kindergarten. Please feel
free to notify other families as well. Kindergarten Orientation is on
March 1st at 1:00pm. We are also looking for children who will be in
first grade for the 2016-2017 year. Tell a friend!

En las próximas dos semanas vamos a
comenzar a distribuir las computadoras para
los estudiantes en los grados 3-8. Estos
equipos, al igual que los libros de texto, serán prestados a los
estudiantes para el resto de este año. Al igual que usted, queremos
que sus hijos estén a salvo, eficiente y eficaz con la tecnología.
Tenemos una política de uso aceptable existente que ha leído,
revisado y acordado en el Manual para Padres de Estudiantes
distribuimos a principios del año. Si desea revisar la política, por

Además de nuestra Política de Distrito hemos adjuntado un
documento de Asuntos Mesa que muestra las expectativas para el
uso de los estudiantes de la tecnología de Mesa prestará a ellos. Por
favor, tener una conversación enfocada con sus hijos acerca de
nuestra 1: 1 reglas para que podamos ser excelentes socios en su
niño (s) 's uso de la tecnología. Es importante saber que, por ahora,
estos dispositivos se quedarán en la escuela. No van a volver a casa.
A medida que nos entregamos estos dispositivos a los niños, sus
maestros también dar clases de ciudadanía digital para asegurarse
de que los estudiantes entiendan lo que nuestras expectativas son
para su uso de la tecnología y que funcionarán como una comunidad
para garantizar su seguridad.

Noticias
 Olimpiadas Académicas Camarillo (CAO)
Felicitaciones a nuestros estudiantes Mesa que compitieron en las
rondas preliminares de toda la ciudad. Mesa estuvo bien
representada. Gracias a los padres voluntarios que ayudan a
coordinar el transporte, la programación y la supervisión de los
estudiantes en el Boys & Girls Club Camarillo. Este fue el primer año
de Mesa proporcionan un servicio de transporte de autobús que
ayudan a generar un sentido de orgullo y unión.
 Kinder 2016-2017
Por favor, mire nuestro folleto adjunto a la guardería Cuestiones
Mesa. Vamos a tener un jardín de infancia de la casa abierta el 23 de
febrero a las 6:00 pm para las familias que tendrán sus hijos asistan a
la guardería. Por favor, siéntase libre para notificar a otras familias
también. Orientación de Kinder es el 1 de marzo a las 1:00 pm.
También estamos buscando para los niños que estarán en primer
