will host a public hearing on allowing
Hyattsville residents who are not United
States citizens to vote in City elections.

• Council is considering a proposal to
allow residents to vote if Hyattsville has
been their primary residence for at least
14 days, they are at least 16 years old,
and they do not have a felony conviction.
• El Concejo tiene una propuesta que
permitiría residentes a votar si han vivido
en Hyattsville al menos 14 días, tienen al
minimo 16 años, y no tienen una

• This would enable residents who live
in the City but are not United States
citizens to vote for the City’s Mayor and
Council. It would not enable non-citizens
to vote in Prince George’s County,
Maryland or national elections.
