Challenges toward convergence

Metadata : Inter-agency coordination work for the preparation of one
single and standardized manual for computation of MDG indicators.
•
Sources of information: To use a single source of information for
computation of specific indicators in each country.
Report time and geographic coverage, and relevant methodological
notes.
•
Re-estimations, new computation: Report changes in countries, update
indicators in international sources.
•
Channel of information: Identify the institution and function responsible
for the person providing the indicator in each country.
•
National Statistical Offices: To strengthen the role of dialogue,
certification, and coordination among countries and agencies.
