We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER
Context:In Yemen, based in Hodeida, in emergency contexte
Length of contract: 12 months starting from the 15tht of August 2015
The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible
to set-up and manage nutrition and health programmes for ACF in the North (covering
Hodeida and Hajjah governorates).
More precisely, you will be in charge to:
· Lead the recruitment and training of nutrition and medical staff in the field
· Participate in program launch, coordinate and liaise with local authorities and represent
ACF at the technical level in Hodeida and Hajjah
· Design and execute nutrition program implementation strategy including supporting
field teams in setting up Therapeutic Feeding Center (TFC) and Outpatient Therapeutic
Program (OTP) sites
· Prepare and use of relevant reporting tools (Monthly APRs, nutrition databases,
follow-up reports, donor & authorities reports, etc.)
Manage nutrition field teams and work across sectors with other program teams
(Food Security & WASH)
The applicant:You hold a master degree in nutrition, medical doctor or nursing, with a
previous field experience in implementing emergency nutritional and medical
interventions. You hold a significant experience in conducting assessments, establishing
and follow up of health and nutrition programs.
Knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care and Community-based
Management of Acute Malnutrition is required.
First experience in training and management of technical teams is compulsory.
Recognized for your capacity to work in different levels of coordination, you have
developed excellent diplomatic communication, organizational skills and team
management.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively to the field, under sometimes difficult and
occasionally insecure circumstances are needed.
Fluent in English required. Knowledge of Arabic language is a plus
Status:
Salaried - Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation
and medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris (1 to 2 weeks)
