Estimados padres de familia de 7º grado:
Muchas gracias por su asistencia y participación en la junta del viaje de 7º grado, del
pasado miércoles. Como les mencioné en la junta, buscaremos otra opción con la cual
más familias se sientan cómodas para mandar a sus hijos/as. Durante la junta,
aproximadamente la mitad de los padres de familia que asistieron, comentaron que se
sintieron cómodos con la presentación que les hicimos del viaje, pero la otra mitad no
se sintió así. Una de las principales metas de los viajes de generación, es el tener la
mayor participación de alumnos posible. Como tuvimos un número muy alto de padres
de familia expresando su inconformidad al mandar a sus hijos al viaje que se les
presentó, sentí que debemos buscar más alternativas.
Durante la junta, les pregunté a los padres de familia si se sentían cómodos de que sus
hijos tuvieran el viaje al área de Guanajuato; la mayoría levantaron la mano aceptando
que ésta era una buena opción. Estamos viendo nuestras opciones y les haremos saber
cuando tengamos algo que cubra nuestras necesidades. Me pondré en contacto con
ustedes, nuevamente, cuando tenga algo listo para presentarles. Es muy probable que
las fechas del viaje de 7º grado cambien y se realice más adelante durante ciclo escolar.

Dear Seventh Grade Parents,
Thank you for your attendance and participation in last Wednesday’s meeting about the
7th grade trip. As I mentioned at the meeting, we will look into finding a location for the
trip to which more families will feel comfortable sending their children. During the
meeting, about half of the parents who attended said they felt comfortable with the trip
that we presented, but half didn’t feel comfortable. One of the main goals of the grade
level trips is to have a very high rate of participation. With such a large group of parents
expressing reluctance to send their children on the trip as it was presented, I feel that
we should look into alternatives.
During the meeting I asked if parents felt comfortable sending their children on a trip in
the Guanajuato area. Almost all parents raised their hands saying that they felt this was
a good alternative. We will look into our options and will let you know when we find
something that suits our needs. I will be back in touch with you when we are ready to
present again. It is very likely that the dates for the 7th grade trip will be changed to take
place later in the school year.
