INSTRUCCIONES PARA VISAS “U” O “T”
Hemos recibido su solicitud I-918 aprobada por el Departamento de Seguridad Interna (DHS),
lo que le permitirá solicitar una visa “U” o “T”. Por favor siga las siguientes instrucciones para
programar una cita para su entrevista con el oficial consular.
PRIMERO: Al recibir esta notificación, deberá contactar al centro de información de visas
para programar su cita. Puede hacerlo por teléfono al (502) 2470-0888 o puede
entrar a la página de Internet www.ustraveldocs.com/gt_es. Los siguientes son
los pasos a seguir en la página de Internet para cada uno de los solicitantes:
1. Oprima en el logo verde que dice “Solicite su visa”
2. Al registrar su información, usted podrá completar los siguientes requisitos:
a. Pagar la cuota de la visa ($160.00 dólares)
b. Llenar la solicitud de visa DS-160
c. Programar e imprimir su confirmación de cita (las visas U/T se encuentran bajo
la categoría de visas de inmigrante)
d. Escoger una agencia de CARGO EXPRESO para recoger su visa
3. Si tiene duda en cómo registrarse, o cómo realizar su cita puede comunicarse al servicio
de información al siguiente teléfono (502) 2470-0888.
SEGUNDO: Traiga todos los siguientes requisitos a su entrevista. Cada solicitante deberá
llenar todos los requisitos.







La hoja de confirmación de cita que obtuvo en http://ustraveldocs.com/gt_es para
mostrarle al guardia de la entrada al Consulado.
Pasaporte con vigencia por un mínimo de seis meses más. Si posee alguna visa de
Estados Unidos vigente, por favor traiga el pasaporte con la visa.
Una fotografía para visa, a color, fondo blanco de 2” x 2”.
La hoja de confirmación que el formulario DS-160 fue llenado en Internet en la
siguiente dirección: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ En el DS-160 deberá seleccionar “U”
o “T” como la categoría de la visa.
Copia de la Aprobación I-797 de USCIS donde nombran a los beneficiarios de la visa.
Evidencia de relación con el peticionario: Certificados originales (de nacimiento o de
matrimonio) obtenidos en RENAP donde conste la relación o parentesco del beneficiario
y peticionario. Por ejemplo, un hijo (U3) tendría que traer una copia de alguna
identificación con foto del padre/madre para demostrar el parecido físico,
correspondencia, registros escolares, fotos de la familia, remesas, etc.
Identificación con foto del familiar que acompaña al menor a la entrevista.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR “U” AND “T” VISAS
We received your approved I-918 from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), allowing
you to apply for a “U” or “T” visa. Please follow the instructions below to schedule your
interview appointment with a consular officer.
FIRST: When you receive this notification, you should contact the call center to schedule your
interview. You can do so by calling (502) 2470-0888 from Guatemala or (646) 2590557 from the United States. You can also make your appointment at
www.ustraveldocs.com/gt. If scheduling online, these are the steps for each
applicant:
1. Click on the green logo labeled “Apply Now”
2. After registering your information, you will be able to do the following:
a. Pay the visa fee ($160.00 USD)
b. Fill out the visa application DS-160
c. Schedule and print your interview appointment confirmation (U/T visas are found
under the immigrant visas category)
d. Select the CARGO EXPRESO office where you would like to pick up your visa
3. If you have any questions about how to register or how to schedule your appointment,
please call the information center at (502) 2470-0888.
SECOND: Bring all the following documentary requirements to your visa interview. Each
applicant must meet all the requirements.






Appointment confirmation you printed from http://ustraveldocs.com/gt to present to the
guards at the entrance of the consular section.
Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months. If you have any current U.S. visa, please
bring the passport that contains that visa.
Visa photograph color, white background, and 2 x 2 inches. These are available from
photo shops located near the U.S. Embassy.
Confirmation sheet showing the DS-160 https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ has been
completed. Select “U” or “T” as the category of the visa in the DS-160 form, as
appropriate.
A copy of the USCIS I-797 Notice of Action listing the visa beneficiaries.
Relationship evidence: all applicants must bring birth or marriage certificates
establishing the relationship to the primary petitioner. Applicants should be prepared to
submit any available evidence establishing a link to the petitioner. For example, a U-3
child may wish to bring a copy of the father/mother’s photo ID demonstrating a family
resemblance, emails, letters, school records, family photos, remittances, etc.
