Dear Parents, We are less than 2 months away from our production

Dear Parents,
We are less than 2 months away from our production. This month we are working on staging our musical.
There will only be a total of 11 rehearsals in March due to STAAR testing, Spring Break, and other events. Each
rehearsal is crucial. It is extremely important scholars do not miss rehearsal, tutoring is the only exception.
We are moving at a very fast pace and do not have time to reteach staging. If your scholar is going to miss
rehearsal, I need to be notified by either email, phone call, or text. If a scholar has more than three unexcused
absences, then we will have to find a replacement for them. There are 70 scholars working hard together in
this production, everyone is equally important. The cast lists A and B are attached. Scholars will be performing
in BOTH casts. They must be present for both performance nights. It is important scholars come to every
rehearsal their part is called for, regardless of their cast. Scholars will be performing both nights. If there is a
conflict, I need to know right away. Starting in March, rehearsal will go until 5:00pm. We need the extra 15
minutes in order to be able to do a full run-through. Please continue to pick up scholars on time. Scholars will
need to have their lines/songs memorized by the return of Spring Break, March 21st. Please continue to help
them with this. We are in the process of purchasing costumes and will need help with sewing and
construction. Alice in Wonderland calls for very bright and creative costumes, such as a caterpillar, butterfly,
flowers, and lobsters. We will also need help constructing the frame of a stage. We need as many volunteers
as possible! Starting in March, I will also need help during rehearsals, as well as, the performance nights. We
will need help with getting scholars dressed, especially with face painting. We will be having a volunteer
meeting after rehearsal on Monday, February 29th. Please park and come into the school. The meeting will
not be long. In order to help cover the cost of our production, I am asking scholars to presale tickets. These
tickets will have VIP priority seating and will sale for $5.00 for both children and adults. Scholars only need to
bring me cash or check and let me know what night they want. These tickets are for sale starting Tuesday.
Last year, there were over 300 people during our first night of Willy Wonka Junior, we are expecting tickets to
sell out this year. Tickets for general seating will go on sale in the front office starting on March 7th. Scholars
are working very hard, and are really learning about team work. I am so very proud of their hard work and
dedication. Thank you so much for your support and flexibility. Please let me know if you are able to
volunteer any of your time.

Estamos a dos meses de nuestra producción. Este mes estamos trabajando en poniendo la escena de nuestra
producción. El mes de marzo solo habrá 11 ensayos porque tendremos el examen de STAAR, vacaciones de
primavera, y otros eventos. Cada ensayo es crucial. Es muy importante que sus estudiantes no falten los
ensayos, al menos que estén atendiendo tutoría. Cada ensayo estamos progresando mucho y no tenemos tiempo
de sobrepasar y re-ensenar el escenario. Si su estudiante va a faltar necesito que me manden un texto, un correo
electrónico, o una llamada telefónica. Si su estudiante falta más de tres veces al ensayo tendré que buscar
alguien que lo remplace. Hay 70 estudiantes trabajando juntos para esta producción, cada uno es importante. La
lista A y B esta añadida. Estudiantes estarán realizando en las dos producciones. Ellos tendrán que atender las
dos noches de producción. Si hay un compromiso, por favor haga me lo saber inmediatamente. Empezando en
marzo, los ensayos serán hasta las 5:00pm de la tarde porque necesitamos los 15 minutos extra para practicar.
Por favor recojan sus estudiantes a tiempo. Sus estudiantes tendrán que tener sus partes/líneas memorizadas
después de las vacaciones de primavera, el 21 de marzo. Estamos en el proceso de comprando los vestuarios y
necesitaremos ayuda cosiendo y construyendo. La producción requiere un vestuario muy brillante con ropa de
mariposa, flores, y gusanos. También necesitaremos ayuda en construyendo el escenario. Necesitamos la ayuda
que más se pueda! Empezando en marzo también necesitare ayuda en los ensayos y también las noches de las
producciones, con vistiendo y maquillando los estudiantes. Tendremos una junta pequeña para los que quieran
ayudar después del ensayo el Lunes, 29 de febrero. Para ayudar a recoger fondos, estoy pidiendo que los
estudiantes vendan boletos. Estos boletos tendrán asientos de VIP y serán $5 para adultos y niños. Pueden traer
efectivo o un cheque y tendrá que decirme cual noche quiere asistir. Estoy boletos se venderán a partir del
martes. El año pasado, había más de 300 persona en nuestra producción entonces estamos esperando que los
boletos se vendan rápido. Los boletos generales serán disponibles empezando el 7 de marzo en la oficina
principal. Sus estudiantes han trabajado muy duro y han aprendido mucho de cómo trabajar en equipo. Estoy
