SUBJECT: Writing affirmation letters for your Confirmation candidate Dear Parents, As part of this year’s Confirmation retreat, we are asking that you write letters of affirmation to your child. In these letters, you may express that you love them, how they have changed, how proud you are of them, your hopes for their faith and their future, and your feelings about them being confirmed. These letters are to be secret and will be given to the children during their Confirmation Retreat February 26-28. On the second page of this letter you will find sentence starters that may aid you in writing your letter. We also invite you to ask other people who are close to your child to write letters as well. This could be grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, teachers or anybody else. If you ask friends of your child to write a letter, ask them early and remind them often. Please bring your child’s letter(s) in a sealed envelope with his or her name on it to the main office at the church by no later than Monday, February 16. En estas cartas , es posible expresar que usted los ama , cómo han cambiado , lo orgulloso que está de ellos , sus esperanzas para su fe y su futuro, y sus sentimientos acerca de ellos de ser confirmados . Estas cartas han de ser un secreto y se les dará a los niños durante su retiro de Confirmación el 26 de Febrero hasta el 28 de Febrero.
