Han convenido lo siguiente:
ARTICULO I

El Gobierno del Reino Unido pondrá a disposición del Gobierno'
'Argentino un préstam o por un rnont o máximo de f 3~ 500. 000 (tres millones
: quinientas mil Ifbr a s , en adelante denominado el "Préstam o de Reíinancia[cí6n") a fin de prestar su cooperación al Gobierno argentino para que pue; da disponer del monto total de las divisas necesarias para hacer frente a los
{pagos que vencieron entre e'I l· de enero de 1965 y el 31 de diciembre de
; 1965, ambas fechas inclusive, con el Gobierno del Reino Uní do, personas o
sociedades an6nimas residentes en el Reino Urríd o ,
ARTICULO III
( 1)
El Préstamo de Rcfinanciaci6n constituirá la ayuda financiera
· que suministrará el Gobierno del Reino Unido con respecto al 60% de las
cuotas de capital sobre las deudas comerciales a mediano plazo r-eccnoctdas
·.
: que vend-an durante 1965 y pagadas durante ese año; hasta el 31 de marzo
; de 1966 inclusive;

El Préstamo ser~ abonado en cuotas al Gobierno argentino con-

ARTICULO IV
El Gobierno argentino garantizara: la libre tran sferíbilidad
en esterlinas de los pagos, inclusive el capital e intereses, efectuados con
respecto a todas las deudas comprendidas en este Conven o ,

El Gobierno argentino abonar-a al Gobierno del Reino Unido,
sobre cada cuota del Préstamo de Refinanciaci~n, un inter6s cuyo tipo será
fijado por la Te s or e r Ia de su Majestad, teniendo en cuenta el costo de los
préstam os solicitados por el Gobierno del Reino Unido a la fecha en que se
adelanta la cuota;
( 2)
Dicho interé"s será calculado sobre el saldo de cada cuota
pendiente y será pagadero en esterlinas el 31 de enero, 30 de abrfl , 31 de
julio y 31 de octubre de cada ano; el primer pago con respecto a los intereses se e fcc tua.r
