soaring to higher heights!

Dear Parents,
Let me begin by saying, “WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!” I
am extremely excited to meet you! I am your child’s Second
Grade teacher for this school year, and what a year it is going to
be! As expected I will want to know A LOT about you and your
child, so it is only fair that I divulge a little bit of information
about myself as well. My name is Ms. Kirtina Jones. I am 32
years old, and I am a native of the big city of Bladenboro, North
Carolina. (J) Upon my graduation from Bladenboro High
School, I attended the Ever Illustrious North Carolina Central
University (NCCU) on a full teaching scholarship known as the
Ron Edmonds’ Teaching Scholarship. While at NCCU I was a
member of and held offices within the Pi Gamma Mu Social
Sciences Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society,
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, etc. In addition, I was
recognized as Who’s Who among College Students, and on
numerous occasions my name could be found along with many
others on the Dean’s List. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in
2004; and received my Masters in Instructional Technology from NCCU in 2011.
Upon my graduation in 2004 I began my greatest adventure ever as a teacher here
at R. N. Harris Integrated Arts Core Knowledge Magnet School. This will be my
eleventh year teaching at R.N. Harris, and I am LOVING every minute of it! I believe
in the mission of R.N. Harris and I am passionate about making a difference in the
lives of our students. I cannot imagine myself being anywhere else, and I hope you
feel the same way about having your child here and in my class. I hope to make this
another astounding year, because they just keep getting better and better!
Well, I hope this has opened a small window, and you were able to take a peek
in at whom you will be entrusting your child’s invaluable education. We’re
stepping up to Second Grade and I look forward to working with you in this
wonderful time in your child’s life.

Déjame empezar diciendo, "Bienvenido al segundo
grado!" estoy extremadamente emocionado conocerte! Soy
maestra de segundo grado para este año escolar, y qué año va
a ser! Como era de esperarse querré saber mucho acerca de
usted y su hijo, así que es justo que divulgar un poco de
información sobre mí también. Mi nombre es Sra. Kirtina

Tras mi graduación en 2004 comencé mi mayor aventura alguna vez como un profesor
aquí en R. N. Harris integrado Core Knowledge imán escuela de Artes. Será mi
enseñanza año 11 en R.N. Harris, y me encanta cada minuto! yo creo en la misión de
R.N. Harris y me apasiona hacer una diferencia en las vidas de nuestros
estudiantes. No puedo imaginarme estar en cualquier otro lugar, y espero que tú
sientes lo mismo por tener a su hijo aquí y en mi clase. espero hacer este año otro
sorprendente, porque se sigue poniendo mejores y mejor!
Bueno, espero que esto ha abierto una ventana pequeña, y fueron capaces de
echar un vistazo a quien hará ser confiando educación
invaluable de su hijo. Nos estamos subiendo al
segundo grado y estoy deseando trabajar con usted
en este tiempo maravilloso en la vida de su hijo.
