Bachelor of
International Business
The Bachelor of International Business is a specialist degree designed for students
who want to progress quickly and fast track to their career.
The degree adopts a trimester model, which means there are three teaching periods
a year. This structure allows you to complete your degree in two years instead of
three. You will study in a new, custom-designed space in the centre of Melbourne’s
bustling business hub, gain an understanding of international business principles –
business operations, international relations, trade and investments, the effects of
politics and culture - and learn to apply your knowledge in a global business context.
“The small classes mean we get more
attention from the lecturers. We get
to ask a lot of questions during the
workshops which really motivates me
and enhances my learning. The degree
has a strong industry focus and has
a lot of guest speakers from industry.
Hearing from professionals helps me
to see how what I am studying works
in the real world, and provides a link
between theory and practice.”

Then the class time is used to solidify
the learning through strategies such as
discussions, debates and problem solving.
With small class sizes, you’ll be encouraged
to collaborate within a diverse community
of like-minded students. This intimate
learning environment means you’ll have

academic support and closer working
relationships with teaching staff.

“As an international student, sometimes
I find it hard to follow traditional lectures.
However, with the flipped classroom
model the lessons are delivered online
and are easy to follow. Then I attend
workshops to deepen my understanding
of the concepts. The lecturers are willing
to take a close look at my work which
helps me develop. I really like the course
structure too because we study three
times per year, meaning I will finish in
two years. Also, studying in the city
is great, there’s a large variety of food
around and lots of amazing places to
hang out after class.”
