Programme à développer en étant membre du Comité Exécutif de l'ICOMOS:
1.
Principalement, assister aux réunions qui sont programmées.
2.
Stimuler les Comités Ibero-américains de l'ICOMOS afin que le nombre de membres augmente.
3.
Faire que périodiquement (bimestriellement) un bulletin d’information soit publié, sur ce qui se passe
dans l'environnement Ibero-américain (publications, réunions, études, programmes de restauration, etc.)
4.
S’assurer que les Comités Nationaux participent aux Comités Scientifiques si ils ne le font pas déjà et
établissent des programmes de travail en fonction du nombre de membres et de leurs caractéristiques
spécifiques.

The programme I will develop:
1.
Mainly to attend the meetings that are programmed.
2.
To stimulate the Ibero-American Committees of ICOMOS to increase their number of members.
3.
To achieve that periodically (bimonthly) an information newsletter is published on what is going on in the
Ibero-American environment (publications, meetings, studies, restoration programs, etc.)
4.
To ensure that the National Committees participate in the Scientific Committees, unless they already do
so, and follow established work programs in accordance with their size and individual characteristics.

Programa a desarrollar como miembro del Comité Ejecutivo del ICOMOS:
1.
Principalmente asistir a las reuniones que se programen.
2.
Estimular a los Comités Iberoamericanos del ICOMOS para que se incremente el número de miembros.
3.
Lograr que periódicamente (bimestralmente) se edite un boletín informativo, de lo que sucede en el
ámbito Iberoamericano (publicaciones, reuniones, investigaciones, programas de restauración, etc.)
4.
Lograr que en los Comités Nacionales se conformen los Comités Científicos si no existen, y funcionen con
programas de trabajo de acuerdo al número de miembros de cada Comité y a las características de éstos.

postgraduate studies on Ancient Monuments and Monumental Groups in Madrid, Spain.

contact with the American countries.
Studied his Teacher’s degree on Ancient Monuments Restoration in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de
Mexico (UNAM) in which he taught for 17 years.
Guest professor in various universities of Mexico and several countries, to give courses on Mexican
Architecture and its Conservation and Restoration. (Colombia, Ecuador, Poland, Italy, etc.)

Received the Jorge Tadeo Lozano Decoration in Cartagena, Colombia for his academic achievements.
Member of the Mexican ICOMOS [International Council of Monuments and Sites] since 1972, participating
in several meetings and events organized by the organism in Mexico and other countries.
Elected Vice-president of the Mexican ICOMOS through 1997-2000 and 2000-2003.
Vice-president of The Architects College of Mexico for two periods and member of the Honor Board 20002003.
In the Federation of The Architects College of Mexico in the Mexican Republic was in charge of promoting
related issues to the Architectural Heritage of the country.
At present is member of the Architects Certification Committee for the practice of Restoration on Historic
Monuments in The Architects College of Mexico City.
In 2003 was elected President of the Mexican ICOMOS carrying out an enthusiastic labor succeeding to
reactivate in a very important manner the organism by increasing the number of members and achieving
the intercommunication through the monthly informative bulletin and the participation of the state
committees of Campeche, Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla y San Luis Potosí, and
the scientific committees that carry out different activities, Vernacular Architecture, Cultural Tourism, 20th
Century Architecture, Archaeology, Sun-dried brick and Land Architecture, Historic Cities, Financial and
Legal aspects, Cultural Itineraries and Historic Gardens.

Becado por el Gobierno de España y por la Organización de los Estados Americanos para realizar estudios
de posgrado (71-75) sobre Restauración de Monumentos y Conjuntos Monumentales en Madrid, España.
Experto del CONESCAL, organismo de la OEA y la UNESCO, en construcciones escolares lo cual le permitió
tener contacto con los países americanos.
Estudió la Maestría en Restauración de Monumentos en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
(UNAM), en donde fue profesor durante 17 años.
Profesor invitado por distintas universidades de México y diversos países a dictar cursos y conferencias
sobre la Arquitectura Mexicana, su Conservación y Restauración (Colombia, Ecuador, Polonia, Italia, etc.).

Director Ejecutivo en el 1º Congreso Internacional de Arte Sacro realizado en 1982 en México, D.F., fungió

Subdelegado del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México.
Ha sido autor y coautor de numerosos estudios, proyectos en la Ciudad de México y en otros lugares del
país.
Responsable de coordinar la restauración, embalaje y traslado de los objetos artístico religiosos de
propiedad federal que participaron en la exposición “Esplendores de 30 siglos”, que fue montada en New
York, San Antonio, Los Ángeles y México.
Curador de la exposición “Santiago en América” realizada en Santiago de Compostela España en 1994.
Recibió la condecoración Jorge Tadeo Lozano en Cartagena, Colombia, por méritos académicos
Es miembro del ICOMOS Mexicano desde 1972 participando desde entonces en numerosas actividades
reuniones y eventos realizados por el organismo en México y otros países.
Fue electo Vicepresidente del ICOMOS Mexicano durante los periodos de 1997-2000 y 2000-2003.
Vicepresidente del Colegio de Arquitectos de México durante dos periodos y miembro de la Junta de Honor
2000-2003.
En la Federación del Colegio de Arquitectos de la República Mexicana fue responsable de promover los
temas relacionados con el Patrimonio Arquitectónico del país.
Actualmente miembro del Comité de Certificación de Arquitectos en el Colegio de Arquitectos de la Ciudad
de México.
En el 2003 fue electo Presidente del ICOMOS Mexicano, en donde ha realizado una entusiasta actividad
logrando reactivar de manera importante al organismo incrementando el número de miembros y logrando
una intercomunicación a través del boletín informativo que se distribuye mensualmente, así como a través
de la participación de los Comités Estatales de Campeche, Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán,
Oaxaca, Puebla y San Luis Potosí, y los Comités Científicos que ahora realizan múltiples actividades, así
como de los Comités Científicos de Arquitectura Vernácula, Turismo Cultural, Arquitectura del Siglo XX,
Arqueología, Adobe y Construcción de Tierra, Ciudades Históricas, Aspectos legales y financieros,
Itinerarios Culturales y Jardines Históricos.
