MERCOSUR – SACU
Entre los países miembros del MERCOSUR y aquellos que integran el bloque SACU (Sudáfrica,
Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho y Swazilandia) se están llevando adelante una serie de negociaciones, con
la finalidad de obtener reducciones arancelarias mutuas al momento de exportar sus productos. Dichos
países del sur de África han otorgado preferencias arancelarias por un total de 951 productos a los
países integrantes del Mercado Común del Sur.
En el ámbito de la provincia de Santa Fe, el total de posiciones exportadas incluidas en la negociación
es de 170, de las cuales solamente 7 tienen como destino a uno de los países del SACU, Sudáfrica, y
que están aprovechando una reducción arancelaria al momento de vender a este mercado. Vale la pena
destacar que de los 5 países que integran a este bloque económico, nuestra provincia sólo le exporta al
antes mencionado, no registrando ninguna operación comercial con las demás naciones.
