Phonetic is the science that studies the physical properties of the sounds in human speech. On the contrary, phonology is concerned with the sounds and the systems they create. Children develop their own phonological system from birth to the age of seven. During the first three years they acquire the majority of the phonemes, and in the following years this acquisition takes place more slowly. In this project, in addition to examining Inglés Ingelesa the characteristics of phonetic and phonology, we will be looking at the phonetic features of the Basque language, such as the affricate sibilant phonemes (/tz/, /ts/ and /tx/). Taking into account the above and the educational curriculum which is now in place, the practical section of the project develops a didactic proposal, named “euskal soinuak” (Basque sounds). The purpose of this sequence of activities is learning, practicing and working with the typical sounds of the Basque language in those areas in which Spanish speakers are a majority. The aim of the project is that students acquire the Basque phonologic system in a proper way. Fonetika hizkuntza baten soinuen burutzeaz eta oharpena aztertzeaz arduratzen den zientzia da. Fonologia, aldiz, hizkuntzaren soinuez eta haien sistemez arduratzen da. Ikasleek normalean jaiotzetik eta zazpi urte bitartean garatzen dute beren sistema fonologikoa. Lehen hiru urteetan fonema gehienak eskuratzen dute eta hurrengo urteetan motelduz doa. Proiektu honetan, fonetikak eta fonologiak dituzten ezaugarriez gain, euskara hizkuntzak dituen berezitasun fonetikoak aztertuko dira, hala nola /tz/, /tx/ eta /ts/ txistukari afrikariak. Aurrekoa kontuan izanik eta egun indarrean dagoen hezkuntza curriculuma aztertu ondoren, alderdi praktikoan proposamen didaktiko bat aurkeztuko da, “euskal soinuak” izena duena. Jarduera sekuentzia horrek erdal eremuetan euskarak propio dituen soinuak ikasi, landu eta praktikatzea du xede, euskal ikasleek euskarak dituen soinuak ikas ditzaten.
