WHY BECOME LICENSED?
Have you ever wondered why bother with the expense and time needed to become a licensed Family Child
Care provider if you are only caring for one family? While there are requirements you will have to meet to
become licensed you may find that the benefits are well worth it.
DID YOU KNOW?
If you became licensed you can increase your monthly/annual income by:
Receiving tax benefits (child care businesses are eligible for business related tax
deductions)
Serving more children (You can care for up to 8 children alone or up to 14 with an aide)
Being eligible for higher reimbursement rates by Alternative Payment Programs
Being eligible to participate on CDA’s Nutrition Program (receive reimbursement for the
nutritious meals and snacks you serve)
DID YOU KNOW?

Effective 7/1/11 new Family child care applicants can complete an on-line orientation. Details
on Community Care Licensing’s website.
THEN WHAT?
After you receive your license, notify CDA and new paperwork will be sent to you. Once new paperwork is
received you may be eligible to receive higher reimbursement rates from CDA. You will also be able to advertise and enroll more families into your newly licensed home. If you have any questions please contact

a una familia? Aunque existen requisitos que usted tendrá que satisfacer para convertirse en proveedor con
licencia, usted podrá darse cuenta que los beneficios valen la pena.
¿SABÍA USTED QUE?
Si usted se convierte en proveedor con licencia usted puede incrementar sus ingresos
mensuales/anuales:
Recibiendo beneficios sobre sus impuestos (los gastos de los negocios de cuidado
infantil son elegibles como deducciones para impuestos relacionadas con negocios.
Sirviendo más niños (usted puede cuidar hasta 8 niños sólo, o hasta 14 con un asistente)

¿Y DESPUÉS QUÉ?
Después de que usted reciba su licencia, notifique a CDA y se le enviará nuevo papeleo para completar. Usted
podrá ser elegible para recibir tarifas más altas una vez que usted complete y presente el nuevo papeleo a CDA.
Usted también podrá anunciarse y más familias se podrán inscribir en su nueva casa con licencia. Si tiene cualquier
