folies de jorge eljuri

When talking about art collections, the
Americans as Gagosian and Serota,
the Pinaults or the multimillionaire
Chinese serve as the categorical
points of reference. We never hear talk
about Senor Eljuri. And yet... This rich
Ecuadorian's private collection would
turn more than one museum green
with envy.
A few figures suffice to sum up the
situation: 8000 paintings by the
masters (from El Greco to Picasso
without forgetting those such as
Lichtenstein), hundreds of antique
pieces of furniture, sculptures (some
Dalis, Rodins...), antique watches,
jewelry...
And all of this purchased according to
the book at Sotheby's and Christie's.
For the first time, he opens the doors...
The follies of the Ecuadorian collector Jorge Eljuri.
