a. U.S. CITIZEN, U.S. NATIONAL, OR ALIEN WITH PERMANENT RESIDENCE. ​

b. Honors Level Aptitude: (3.0 GPA) ​
Must be able to memorize large volumes of information and be able to recite by memory during weekly and monthly inspections. You
will also read books and write book reports and discuss the books. You will also do a lot of writing. You will be evaluated as to how you are able to lead and influence a group to accomplish tasks. You are also required to teach a 30 minute class and learn to lead a physical fitness session and march cadets in a group. c. Maintain MCJROTC grooming standards: ​
Males must have short haircuts; minimum of a low skin fade. Clean Shaven daily from Monday to Friday and on weekends
when traveling in competitions or community service. Females; must have their hair up in a bun or cut hair so that the hair does not fall below the lower edge of the shirt collar. Fingernails cannot be more than ¼ inch in length, and no color nail polish while in uniform and Physical training uniform. No two tone color hair, must be one color and natural colors. 2. What athletic programs can you be involved in MCJROTC? a. Drill Team: ​
Travels and competes in marching and academic competitions. ​
Teams compete for the top placement within their state and region, the top
teams in the nation earn an invitation to Daytona FL. for the National High School Drill Team Competition where they can earn national recognition.. ​
b. Physical Fitness Team: ​
Travels and competes in physical fitness competitions. ​
Teams compete for the top placement within their state and region, and
the top teams in the nation earn all­expenses paid trips to San Diego C.A. for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition.. ​
c. Cyber Patriot: ​
CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program. At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber
Defense Competition. The competitions puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. In the rounds of competition, teams are given a set of virtual images that represent operating systems and are tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system while maintaining critical services in a six hour period. Teams compete for the top placement within their state and region, and the top teams in the nation earn all­expenses paid trips to Washington, DC for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition and scholarship money. ​
d. Drum & Bugle Corps: T
​his is a new program being developed for the MCJROTC. This is a small detachment marching band that
plays military music for parades, ceremonies, and formations. Eligibility is to have at least two years of musical instrument experience, but don’t let that stop you if you think you are good enough come out and compete. En las rondas de la competencia, los equipos se les da un conjunto de imágenes virtuales que representan los sistemas de operación y tienen la tarea de la búsqueda de vulnerabilidades de seguridad cibernética dentro de las imágenes y el endurecimiento del sistema, manteniendo los servicios críticos en un período de seis horas.
