Formatting to FAT32
Browse to the location of the file “Verbatim_FAT32_Tool.exe”. Now follow these steps to
format your drive:
CAUTION: Formatting deletes all information on the drive. Double check each step
before executing to ensure that you are formatting the correct drive. Information
that is lost may be irretrievable.
1) Connect your drive to your computer using either a USB or FireWire connection.
2) Double-click on the “Verbatim_FAT32_Tool.exe” file to launch the utility. The window
below will appear.
3) Now select the drive you want to format from the drop down box at the top of the
screen.
4) Enter a Volume Label name (text string up to 11 characters). You can change this
name later if you wish after formatting is complete.
5) Press the “Format Drive” button to initiate formatting. You will be asked to confirm this
action. Once the format is complete, a message will appear under the Status section that
says “Your drive has successfully been formatted”.
6) When formatting is complete, close the utility and perform a Safe Removal of the drive.

Navega hasta que se encuentre el archivo “Verbatim_FAT32_Tool.exe”. Siga los
siguientes pasos para formatear tu disco duro:
CUIDADO: El formateo elimina todos los datos de la unidad. Compruebe dos
veces cada paso antes de ejecutarlo para asegurarse de que está formateando la
unidad correctamente. La información perdida puede ser irrecuperable.
1) Conecte la unidad a su computadora por medio de la conexión USB o FireWire.
2) Haga doble clic en el archivo Verbatim_FAT32_Tool.exe” para iniciar la utilidad.

3) Seleccione la unidad que desea formatear del cuadro desplegable en la parte
superior de la pantalla.
4) Ingrese el nombre de la etiqueta de volumen (de hasta 11 caracteres) en el campo
Volume Label. Una vez finalizado el formateo, podrá cambiar este nombre si lo desea.
5) Presione el botón “Format Drive” (Formatear unidad) para comenzar el formateo. Se
le pedirá que confirme la instrucción. Una vez que haya finalizado el formateo,
aparecerá el siguiente mensaje en la sección Status (Estado) “Your drive has
successfully been formatted” (Se ha realizado con éxito el formateo de la unidad).
6) Cuando haya finalizado el formateo, cierre el utilitario y quite con seguridad la unidad.
