According to the article 16 of the Colombian political constitution all people have the right to the
free development of their personality with no limitation other tan those imposed by the rights of
others and the legal order, which means that everyone has the capacity and power to adopt their
life project and develop themselves in society, freely deciding how and what they want to be. The
law exists and is written, nevertheless, the same society in which we live discriminates and doesn´t
respect this right, and Colombian state does absolutely nothing about. Day by day we see how
people are singled out and attacked for how they are or how they feel, and although state cannot
force people to change their thinking if this seems wrong to them, the can take action through
educational training that teaches respect for the freedom to act of all people according to their
wishes, tastes and preferences.
La ley existe y está escrita, sin embargo la misma sociedad en la que vivimos discrimina y no
respeta este derecho, y el estado Colombiano no hace absolutamente nada. Día a día vemos
como personas son señaladas por cómo son o cómo sienten, y aunque el estado no puede obligar
a las personas a cambiar su pensamiento, si es que esto les parece mal, sí pueden tomar medidas
mediante una formación educativa que enseñe a respetar la libertad de actuar de todas las
personas de acuerdo a sus deseos, gustos y preferencias.
De acuerdo con el artículo 16 de la constitución política de Colombia todas las personas tienen
derecho al libre desarrollo de su personalidad sin más limitaciones que las impuestas por los
derechos de los demás y el orden legal, lo que significa que toda persona tiene la capacidad y el
poder de adoptar su proyecto de vida y desarrollarse en la sociedad, decidiendo libremente cómo
y qué quieren ser. La ley existe y está escrita, sin embargo, la misma sociedad en la que vivimos
discrimina y no respeta este derecho, y el Estado colombiano no hace absolutamente nada al
respecto. Día a día vemos cómo las personas son señaladas y atacadas por cómo son o cómo se
sienten, y aunque el Estado no puede obligar a las personas a cambiar su forma de pensar si esto
les parece incorrecto, pueden actuar mediante una formación educativa que les enseñe a respetar
la libertad de actuar de todas las personas según sus deseos, gustos y preferencias.
Valentina Peñaranda: I agree with you Juan David, the real problem is the same society and the
change is in our hands. All people has to learn to respect the differences tastes and preferences
even thogh they don´t agree.
