Donatella Fabio Beachwear is an Eco-Chic Luxe Brand, we create elegant and exclusive swimwear with the most exquisite sustainable Italian fabrics. Our swimwear is mainly characterized by the use of romantic ruffles and 3D flowers that do not lose their shape even when in the water. The designs are ultra-feminine and sexy, they were made to flatter women’s bodies. Our collection uses flattering cuts and sexy necklines, additionally, our muscle control fabrics help redesign the female figure. We offer a beautiful range of one piece swimsuits and high & low waist bikini bottoms for different body types to mix and match with our fabulous tops. The collection was created with a wear Day-to-Night concept, the designs are so chic that all of the one piece swimsuits can be worn as “bodies” and most of the bikini tops as “crop tops”, both can easily be styled with a skirt or pair of pants and have an incredibly fancy and sophisticated look. SUSTAINTABILITY We pride ourselves of having a big compromise with the environment, and it is at the forefront of everything we do, from our fabrics to our packaging. Our swimwear is made of Italian fabrics made with ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon that reduces global warming impacts of nylon up to 80% and can be recycled infinitely. The system starts with the rescue of waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as virgin nylon. It is later processed, by an Italian company, into a textile yarn mixed with Elastane to create our high-end swimwear fabric. In addition of being sustainable, our fabrics are also extra-soft, pilling resistant, sun cream & oil resistant, ultra-chlorine resistant, offer UV protection, excellent coverage and muscle control. In order to avoid one-use-only plastics, we have created a reusable packaging bag made of Non-Woven fabric. This fabric is made of recycled materials and can easily decompose in a non-toxic way in 90 days if placed outdoors, meanwhile, it can last and be reused for up to 8 years if placed indoors. Even our hang-tags and hygienic liners are eco-friendly, we use Stone Paper in both of them, this makes them 100% tree & cellulose free. Stone Paper is Cradle to Cradle certified, it’s made 80% of limestone powder and 20% HD Polyethylene. It is photodegradable which means it dissolves into dust under constant sunlight in just a few months and it can be burnt out without creating any toxic gases. The fashion industry has a huge impact on the environment and our oceans; we would live in a whole different world if more brands started to make more conscious practices, that’s why we want to be an example and lead the way into a more sustainable world while doing it with style. ABOUT DONATELLA FABIO Donatella Fabio is an italo-mexican fashion designer and the creative director of the brand. She graduated from the prestigious Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, Italy and has studied different Haute Couture courses in the most prestigious fashion universities in Milan and London. She first founded her Haute Couture line, which specializes in highend evening and bridal gowns. Donatella’s passions have always been fashion and the ocean, the later led her to become a scuba diver and fall in love each day more and more with the beauty of the ocean and its wonders. This is why she decided she wanted to merge her two great passions and create a beachwear collection that reflects her experience in the couture business so that it’s unique, chic and sexy but also cares about the environment, and finds a way to give back to the ocean. In addition to designing the collections, Donatella personally creates all the patterns of each garment and supervises the production process to ensure that each piece achieves the desired standards of quality and excellence.
