Rider Alert Regional Transit Authority NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY Cemeteries Transit Center Environmental Assessment PUBLIC MEETING Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and 23 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 771, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), in collaboration with the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA), has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed action that includes extension of the Canal Streetcar Line from the end of Canal Street to Canal Boulevard north of City Park Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. The EA evaluates the potential impacts to the environmental and human resources and investigates means of mitigation for unavoidable adverse impacts as a result of the proposed action. The public and other stakeholders are invited to formally comment on the project through March 25, 2015.
