The event was also attended by Cristian Girard, president of the National Securities Commission, and Norberto Ciaravino, Consultants' Cabinet Chief. There, Tomada explained that "this recognition takes place in a context in which trade unionism has once more played a leading role and filled a place which had lost during the dictatorship and also with neoliberalism." "Over these years, the concerns of workers have reborn and led them to join trade unions." For this reason, the new activities also involved the creation of new trade unions," the Minister concluded. For her part, García Lastra said, "being granted the legal recognition is, on the one hand, a dream which came true for the workers in the activity, and on the other hand, the crystallization of social justice, since we, the stock exchange workers, have lacked trade union representation until now."
