Proveniente del mundo del diseño gráfico y la imagen, es en Estados Unidos donde descubre su
fascinación por el Pop Art. En 2007 regresa a su Valencia natal para trabajar intensamente con
varios equipos náuticos participantes en la Copa América, en las áreas de diseño, comunicación y
eventos.
Mientras tanto, la pintura se convierte en su obsesión y especialmente la técnica de puntos BenDay, la trama de puntos de las artes gráficas que lleva el nombre de su creador, el ilustrador e
impresor Benjamin Day, y cuya estética aplicó por primera vez el artista americano Roy
Lichtenstein en sus pinturas. El resultado es una elaboración compleja y minuciosa donde la
estructura espacial de los puntos va construyendo, por partes, la imagen final. Esta
descomposición del objeto requiere un gran potencial de abstracción, puesto que se trabaja con
distintos niveles de percepción para la misma imagen.
Toni Sánchez posee una gran espacialidad, es meticuloso y avanza con éxito en el desarrollo de
esta técnica y sus posibilidades expresivas. Esto le permite, a cada paso, ampliar el concepto
plástico, estético e iconográfico del lenguaje actual del PopArt
En el verano de 2009 presenta " Love and Pop Colection " en la Casa-Museo Benlliure de
Valencia. Veinte obras de gran formato, la mayoría superando los dos metros. Entre 2011-2012
Sánchez expuso en las Atarazanas de Valencia cincuenta grandes lienzos bajo el título "Love,
War and Pop Collection". En 2013 la Unesco le encarga una obra para el cartel del Congreso
Internacional de Hangzhou en China. En 2014 sus pinturas se han expuesto en Londres, Berlín y
Moraira (Alicante) y también en Nueva York, en una conocida galería de Manhattan que
actualmente posee la exclusiva sobre la obra de Sánchez para los Estados Unidos. De la misma
forma ha obtenido un alto reconocimiento por su trabajo, que está representado en importantes
colecciones de Norte y Suramérica, y Europa. También este año, la ciudad de Alzira ha mostrado
sus obras; y su participación en la feria de arte contemporáneo MARTE, en Castellón, con IB
Galería, ha suscitado un gran interés.

Coming from the graphic design and corporate identity world, it is in the United States where he
discovers his fascination for the Pop Art. In 2007 he returns to his hometown Valencia to
intensively work for several sailing teams participating at the America's Cup race, in the areas of
design, communication and events.
In the meantime painting becomes his obsession and especially the Ben-Day dots thechnique, a
printing process named after its creator, the illustrator and printer Benjamin Day, and which
aesthetical effect appeared for the first time in the paintings of the American artist Roy Lichtenstein.
The result is a complex and detailed procedure where the spatial structure of the dots constructs the
final image. This decomposition of the object requires a great potential of abstraction, since
working with different levels of perception for the same image.
Toni Sanchez has a relevant spatial capacity; he is meticulous and devoted to the development of
this pictorial technique and its large possibilities of expression. This allows him, at every step, to
expand the plastic, aesthetic and iconographic concept of the Pop Art language.
In the summer of 2009 he presents "Love and Pop Collection" at Casa-Museo Benlliure in Valencia.
Twenty large works, most exceeding two meters. Between 2011-2012 Sánchez exhibited, at the
Valencia Shipyards art space, fifty large canvases titled "Love, War and Pop Collection". In 2013
Unesco commissions him a work intended for the poster of the International Congress of Hangzhou
in China. In 2014, his paintings have been exhibited in London, Berlin and Moraira (Alicante) and
also in New York, at a renowned gallery in Manhattan that now holds the exclusive management of
Sanchez's paintings for the United States. He has earned very high recognition for his work, which
is already represented in major North-South American and European collections. The city of Alzira
has also shown his works this year and his participation at MARTE contemporary art fair in
Castellón with IB Galería has attracted great interest.
