Tomorrow, we will celebrate our first “Story Book Character Parade.” All children in PreKindergarten through Fifth grade will be allowed to come dressed as their favorite storybook
character. The children will be asked to choose and read a story and to dress up in a costume
portraying their favorite character from that story. The story may be fictional or non-fictional.
The children must bring their book to school on that day, and they will be asked to share that
story with their classmates. Our “Parade of Characters” will begin on the school sidewalk
facing S.W. 78th Place at 9:00 a.m. and continue to the end of the sidewalk facing S.W. 2 nd
Street. All parents may enjoy the parade from across the street.
SCARY COSTUMES, HEELS, MASKS OR WEAPONS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED, SO PLEASE GUIDE
YOUR CHILDREN INTO MAKING APPROPRIATE SELECTIONS AS THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
PARTICIPATE.
PARKING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED PARALLEL TO THE PARADE ROUTE

Mañana, se llevará a cabo el “Desfile de Personajes de Literatura Infantil.” Los estudiantes de
las clases de pre-kindergarten hasta 5to grado se les permitirán asistir al colegio disfrazados de
su personaje favorito de un cuento de literatura infantil. Los niños podrán escoger y leer un
cuento y luego, disfrazarse de su personaje favorito de dicho cuento. El cuento puede ser de
sucesos verdaderos o de ficción. Además de sus textos y útiles, los estudiantes deberán llegar
al colegio aquel día con el libro de cuento escogido y estar preparados para compartirlo con sus
compañeritos de clase.
El “Desfile de Personajes” comenzara a las 9:00 a.m. en la acerca del lado de enfrente a la
calle S.W. 78 Place y terminara al final de la acerca de la calle 2da Los padres pueden
disfrutar de la parada desde el lado opuesta de la calle.
NO SE PERMITIRAN DISFRACES GROTESCOS, ZAPATOS DE TACONES, O CARETAS/MASCARAS.
FAVOR DE ASESORAR A SUS HIJOS EN LA SELECCION DE DISFRACES APROPIADOS; YA QUE DE
LO CONTRARIO, NO PODRAN PARTICIPAR EN EL PROGRAMA.
NO SE PERMITIRAN ESTACIONARCE AL PARALELO A LA RUTA DE LA PARADA.
