Taking oath of office
St. Cloud, Fla. – St. Cloud Fire Rescue’s new fire chief, Bill Johnston, was sworn in
Friday, August 20, by Mayor Donna Hart at City Hall. Johnston was appointed St.
Cloud’s fire chief August 9. Johnston now oversees the day-to-day operations of a
department of more than 50 employees and provides counsel to the City Council in
matters of public safety and the maintenance of the city’s fire protection. Accompanying
Johnston was wife, Ellen.
