Use Your Senses to Recognize a Gas Leak
CNG always wants customers to put safety first. Being able to recognize a natural gas

leak is often recognized by smell, sight or sound.

MELL – Natural gas is colorless and odorless. A distinctive, pungent odor, similar
to rotten eggs, is added so that you’ll recognize it quickly. CNG delivers odorized
natural gas to customers.

IGHT – You may see a white cloud, mist, fog, blowing dust or bubbles in standing water.
You may also see vegetation that appears to be dead or dying for no apparent reason.
• SOUND – You may hear an unusual noise like roaring, hissing or whistling.

Would you like to simplify paying your natural gas costs with uniform monthly payments?
Then consider CNG’s Budget Billing. This service helps customers stay on budget despite
the seasonal highs and lows of natural gas usage during the year. The Budget Billing
year for 2014-2015 begins this month and runs through August 2015, at which time
accounts will be adjusted to compensate for any difference between payments and
actual usage. Customers currently enrolled in Budget Billing are automatically re-enrolled
as of September 1. Other customers can enroll at any time now through April 1.
