Synopsis:
Lissette is very upset with her man, Ramon. She
doesn’t like the fact that he likes & shares a
woman’s picture on Facebook. She confronts him,
tells him how she feels and orders him to remove her
as a friend.

Ramon: Hey babe, what’s wrong with you? You
have that look like something is bothering you. What
happened? Talk to me, sweetie.
Ramón: Oye nena, ¿qué te pasa?, tienes esa
mirada como que te molesta algo. ¿Qué pasa?

Lissette: Well, I’ve been meaning to talk to you
about something. The truth is…. Can turn down the
music a little?
Lissette: Bueno, querría hablar contigo acerca de
algo. La verdad es que…?Puedes bajar la música un
poquito?
Ramon: What is it baby? I am all ears, Let’s get it
straightened out right now, I don’t like to see my
baby sad like this.
Ramón: ¿Qué tienes nena? Soy todo oídos, vamos a
arreglar eso ahora mismo, no me gusta ver a mi
nena tan triste.
Lissette: I am a little bit pissed about how you act on
Facebook. It seems like every time I go on there, you
are “liking” this slut’s pictures, making comments and
flirting with her. Every pic she posts, you share it on
your wall, what’s up with that?
Lissette: Estoy un poco molesta por la forma en que
comportas en Facebook. Parece que cada vez que
entro en Facebook, veo que estás haciendo clic en
el botón "me gusta" en las fotos de ésta zorra,
haciendo comentarios y coqueteando con ella.
Cada foto que ella publica, la colocas en tu muro,

Ramon: What are you talking about sweetie? Who
are you talking about?
Ramón: ¿De qué estás hablando cariño? ¿De quién
estás hablando?
Lissette: Don’t act like you don’t know who the fuck I
am referring too, Ramon! The one and only
Samantha Alvarez! What’s going on with you and
that girl?
Lissette: ¡No actúes como si no sabes de quién coño
me refiero, Ramón! ¡La única Samantha Álvarez!

Ramon: Oh her? I can clear this up right now.
Nothing is going on with me and her, I’ve never even
spoken to her a single day in my life. I never met her
before. She added me sometime last year, but I
don’t even know who she is. I just know we have
common friends, that’s it.
Ramón: ¡Ahhh ella! Puedo aclarar esto ahora mismo.
No pasa nada entre ella y yo nunca he hablado con
ella ni solo un día en mi vida. No la conozco en
persona. Ella me agregó el año pasado, pero yo ni
siquiera sé quién es. Solo sé que tenemos amigos en
común, eso es todo.
Lissette: Oh really? Well, my friends have noticed
too, and they asked me what’s going on between
you and that bitch. Do you know how embarrassing
that is to me? It’s very disrespectful and I want it to
stop now!
Lissette: ¿Ah En serio? Bueno, mis amigos han
notado algo, y me preguntan, que está pasando

Ramon: Hey, look, I didn’t think this was such a big
deal okay. We all have friends of the opposite sex.
You have guys all over your page, liking and saying
flirtatious shit to you all the time, and I don’t say
nothing. I trust you, this is something you need to
practice, trust!
Ramón: Oye, mira, yo no creía que esto era una gran
cosa. Todos tenemos amigos del sexo opuesto. Tú
tienes chicos por todas partes en tu página,
haciendo clic en "me gusta" y coqueteando contigo
todo el maldito tiempo, y yo no te digo nada.
¡Confío en ti, y esto es algo que debes intentar, la
confianza!
Lissette: I do trust you, but I can’t be a fool about
certain shit and not question it. Also, some of the
guys that comment and like my pictures are your
friends, so you need to talk to them about how they
come at me. Whatever, I don’t pay them no mind
though. You don’t see me going to their pages or
any other guy’s page and commenting and liking
every fucking thing they put up, acting like a
“groupie”.
Lissette: Yo confío en ti, pero no puedo ser una tonta
sin preguntar o cuestionar estas mierdas. Además,
algunos de los chicos que comentan y les gustan mis
fotos son tus amigos también, así que necesitas
hablar con ellos acerca de cómo se comportan

Ramon: So you calling me a Groupie now, Lissette?
Is it that serious? Listen, I already told you, I don’t
know that girl and she doesn’t interest me. I added
her, because I saw we had common friends on here.
The most she has ever said to me was. “Thanks for the
add”, when she wrote on my wall after I accepted
her request. She never said anything else to me after
that.
Ramón: ¿Así que ahora me llamas un "buscador de
amigos", Lissette? ¿Es tan grave? Escucha, ya te lo
dije, yo no conozco a esa chica y ella no me
interesa. La agregué porque vi que teníamos amigos
en común. Lo más que me ha dicho es, "Gracias por

Lissette: Like I said, “groupie”. That is Groupie-like
behavior. You comment and like each and every
one of her pics, and she doesn’t ever respond to you,
all she does is click, “Like” on your comments. My
friends think my man is cheating with that bitch right
in front of me. Who knows what else they are saying
behind my back. Do you know how embarrassing
that is? Fuck! Tell me now, is she your side-chick or
what?
Lissette: Como te dije, "buscador de amigos". Así se
comportan los " buscadores de amigos". Haces clic
en el botón "me gusta" y haces comentarios de
cada una de sus fotos, y ella nunca te responde, lo
único que hace es hacer clic en "Me gusta" de sus
comentarios. Pero, mis amigos piensan que mi novio
está haciendo infiel con esa perra justo en frente de
mí. Quién sabe qué más mierdas están diciendo a
mis espaldas. ¿Sabes que me vergüenza me da eso?

Ramon: For god’s sakes, No! She is not no Side-chick!
You’re overreacting, I’ll go ahead and delete her if
that makes you happy. Our relationship is too special
for us to be arguing over stupid shit like this. Don’t let
this destroy our relationship Lissette.
Ramón: ¡Por dios, no! Ella no es mi amante! Estás
exagerando, voy a eliminarla de mi Facebook si eso
te hace feliz. Nuestra relación es demasiado
especial para estar discutiendo por estupideces
como estas. No dejes que esto destruye nuestra
relación, Lissette.
Lissette: Yes, that will make me feel better, because
you are making me look really stupid in front of my
friends. I don’t ever do that to you, Ramon, so I don’t
deserve that.
Lissette: Sí, eso me hará sentir mejor, porque me estás
haciendo quedar muy mal delante de mis amigos.
Nunca te hago eso a ti Ramón, así que no me
merezco eso.
Ramon: First of all, your friends, none of them have a
man, they can’t maintain a stable relationship. All
they do is sit around and gossip all day and ruin
people’s relationships. They will say anything to fuck
up your thing, then giggle and laugh about it after.
But I’ll delete her, I don’t know her anyway. I know
you deserve the best, you don’t have to worry about
anything. Another woman will never come between
us.
Ramón: En primer lugar, ninguna de tus amigas tiene
novio, no pueden mantener una relación estable.

sucker for love and you have me wrapped around
your little finger. I love you very much and I don’t
ever want to lose you, especially over some
foolishness like this. You mean the world to me. So
let’s not fight anymore, let’s kiss and make up now,
okay?
Ramón: Lissette, aunque mis amigos dicen que soy
un tonto enamorado y que tú me tienes justo donde
me quieres tener, yo te quiero mucho y no quiero
perderte nunca, especialmente por una tontería

happy to have you as a man, I am such a lucky girl. I
don’t know what I’d do without you, babes… Now,
just go ahead and delete her! What you waiting for?

I hope you enjoyed listening and reading Episode #18 of Gritty
Spanish. Isn’t she the girlfriend from hell? I hope you guys don’t
