La pedagogía del cuerpo en la formulación de las ideas políticas medievales

Muchos filósofos y teólogos cristianos de la Antigüedad y la Edad Media se sirvieron de la imagen del
cuerpo humano para expresar su visión de la sociedad y el gobierno. Este método alegórico, llamado
analogía orgánica, era eficaz porque mostraba que todo en el mundo se basa en una jerarquía que hace
consistente y necesaria la unidad y la pluralidad: la unidad del ser humano y de la Cristiandad y la pluralidad
de sus miembros, órganos y funciones. Este trabajo examina las reflexiones de algunos escritores cristianos
sobre el gobierno, y las ideas fundamentales de la teocracia real y la teocracia pontificia o hierocracia
durante la Edad Media. Entre los pensadores que emplearon la analogía orgánica para exponer sus ideas
destaca Juan de Salisbury, autor del Policraticus. Se incluyen, traducidos, algunos textos del Policraticus
con un comentario.
The pedagogy of the body in the exposition of the mediaeval political ideas

Many Christian philosophers and theologians of the Antiquity and the Middle Ages used the image of the
human body to explain their vision of society and government. This allegorical method, called organic
analogy, it was effective. It showed that everything in the world is based on a hierarchy that makes
consistent and necessary unity and plurality: the unity of the human being and the Christianity and the
plurality of their members, organs and functions. This paper surveys the opinions of the Christianity writers
about the government, and the principal ideas of the royal theocracy and the pontifical theocracy or
hierocracy during the Middle Ages. Among de thinkers who used the organic analogy to explain his ideas
excelled John of Salisbury, author of the Policraticus. It includes, translated, some texts of the Policraticus
with a commentary.
