European Commission - Upcoming events Wednesday 10 February: Commission assesses progress on priority actions and takes further steps in response to the refugee crisis The news: On Wednesday 10 February 2016, ahead of the February European Council meeting, the European Commission will report on the implementation of agreed priority actions under the European Agenda for Migration. It will also adopt a number of proposals and highlight key areas where more action is needed in the immediate term in order to implement an effective European response to the refugee crisis. The background: An important number of documents will be part of this package, including Progress Reports on Italy, Greece, the Western Balkans route and the EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan. The event: Wednesday 10 February 2016, immediately after the College meeting: read-out of the College meeting. Extensive press material will be available.
