The Indio Youth Task Force was established in October
of 1994 for the distinct purpose of connecting families,
schools and the community, through youth programs
and projects that will develop positive attitudes, foster
self-esteem, promote the pursuit of excellence, and
establish lifelong habits of civic participation. Since
it’s inception, the Indio Youth Task Force has networked
with over forty resources including; education,
businesses, media, parents, law enforcement and
religious organizations.
The Mission of the Indio Youth Task Force is to foster
extensive networking with several county agencies,
youth organizations and services provided for the
purpose of Juvenile Intervention and Education.

What is One by One Kids Club
Mentoring Program?
¿Que es el Programa Club de Jovenes?
One by One Kids Club Mentoring Program provides safe after
school programs (Kids Clubs) to children who have a parent
incarcerated. In these Kids Clubs children are matched with a
caring adult who comes to mentor them on site once a week.
Mentoring relationships are established to support, intervene
and encourage children into a positive future. And to provide
a positive role model.
El Programa Club de Jovenes provee actividades despues de
escuela en un lugar seguro (Kids Club) para niños y jovenes
que tengan a su padre(s) encarcelado(s). En este Club los
Jovenes son asignados a un mentor que viene a visitarlos al
Club una vez por semana, minimo una hora. La relacion de
amistad con los mentores es establecida para intervenir, animar y apoyar a los jovenes en busqueda de un buen futuro, y
proveer un modelo a seguir.
Who qualifies for this Program?
¿Quien califica para este programa?
Niños y jovenes de 4 a 18 años de edad que tengan a su
padre(s) en prison.
Children 4-18 years of age who have a parent incarcerated.
Is there a fee for this Program?
¿Ay algun costo por este programa?
No, there is no fee for children who have a parent
incarcerated.
Are there any commitments?
Yes, the child must be willing to abide by the Kids Club rules
and agree to meet with a mentor for 1 hour a week.
