Professor Dr. András Inotai, born 1943, has been general director of the Institute for World
Economics in Budapest between 1991 and 2011. Currently he is research director in the
same institute. His main research interests encompass selected issues of globalization,
China’s role in international economy, as well as the EU enlargement to Central and Eastern
Europe and reforms in the Hungarian economic policy in regional comparison. He published
more than 400 articles in different professional and scientific reviews in Hungary, Austria,
Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, France, Mexico. Professor Dr. Inotai is
member in different international Scientific Advisory Boards and holds membership in several
editorial boards of international professional journals.
