FUNCTIONAL FAMILY THERAPY
North Range Behavioral Health Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an
intensive, in-home, family-based therapy that engages and motivates
families who:
• Have youth between the ages of 10-17 years old
• Are struggling with blaming and negativity in the home and towards
the community
• Have previously tried other approaches and are disappointed in the results
• Have youth who are currently involved in the legal system or the Department
of Social Services
• Have youth who have been suspended, expelled or truant from school, and/or
have a history of violence or behavioral health disorders
• Have youth who are abusing drugs and/or alcohol
• Is returning from or at risk for being taken out of the home by state agency
or hospitalization
It is important to do more than simply stop bad behaviors. That’s why
FFT supports families to develop their unique strengths through increased
understanding of one another and skill building. FFT has proven to reduce
adolescent re-arrests, save families, and reduce community costs.
Using a community- and family-based approach, we are trained to help
families experience each other in more positive ways while respecting
the culture of the family. We engage and motivate families who have
had difficulties with the system, have been resistant to therapy, and who
experience blame and negativity. Families learn to develop skills and
strengths that reduce risk factors and improve relationships.
North Range Behavioral Health serves children, youth, adults, and
families, across a wide spectrum of needs, economic status and
race; we serve people with insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+,
those without insurance, and those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket.
Most services can be provided in English and Spanish by bilingual,
culturally-sensitive behavioral health professionals.

TERAPIA FAMILIAR FUNCIONAL
La Terapia Familiar Funcional (FFT) del North Range Behavioral
Health es una terapia intensiva, en casa, basada en la familia que
involucra y motiva a familias que:
• Tienen jóvenes entre las edades de 10 a 17 años
• Están luchando con culpa y negatividad en el hogar y hacia la comunidad
• Han intentado previamente otros métodos y están decepcionados con los
resultados
• Tienen jóvenes que actualmente están involucrados con el sistema legal o el
Departamento de Servicios Sociales
• Tienen jóvenes que han sido suspendidos, expulsados o que faltan a la
escuela, y/o tienen un historial de violencia o trastornos de salud conductual
• Tienen jóvenes que están abusando de drogas y/o alcohol
• Están por regresar o están en riesgo de ser tomados fuera del hogar por una
agencia estatal u hospital
Es importante hacer más que deshacerse del mal comportamiento. Es
por eso que FFT apoya a las familias a desarrollar sus fortalezas únicas
mediante una mayor comprensión de si mismos y mediante el desarrollo de
habilidades. FFT ha demostrado reducir nuevos arrestos de adolescentes,
salvar familias y reducir gastos comunitarios.
Utilizando un enfoque comunitario y familiar, estamos capacitados para
ayudar a las familias a que se conozcan de maneras más positivas,
respetando la cultura familiar. Nos involucramos y motivamos a familias
que han tenido problemas con el sistema, han sido resistentes a la terapia y
que experimentan culpa y negatividad. Las familias aprenden a desarrollar
habilidades y fortalezas que reducen factores de riesgo y mejoran sus
relaciones.
North Range Behavioral Health sirve a niños, adultos y familias, a través de una amplia
