014 Community Infrastructure Levy – Draft Charging Schedule Consultation Providing Personal Information The Council requires all respondents to provide their name and contact details. This helps ensure that the Council responds to every individual and each comment, as appropriate. It also enables, if you so wish, the Council to send you notification regarding future progress of the Community Infrastructure Levy (e.g. further consultation, details of independent examination, date of adoption). Personal information will not be made public. Details will be stored on the Council’s Planning Policy Database and will only be used for the purposes of the preparation of planning policy documents. You can request your details to be removed from the database for notifications at any time by contacting the Planning Policy Team. What Happens Next It is proposed that CIL be examined during or shortly after the Core Strategy Examination and that it be adopted alongside the Core Strategy by April 2015. Legal Requirements The 2008 Planning Act provided for the imposition of a charge known as the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). CIL came into force on 6 April 2010 through the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010, now amended by the CIL (Amendment) Regulations 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. This consultation also accords with the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which is available at www.stratford.gov.uk/sci and timetable for preparation of the Core Strategy, the Local Development Scheme (LDS), which is available at www.stratford.gov.uk/lds.
