6th Annual Festival of the Arts (FOA) 2016

On May 20 at 5:30 pm, Saugus Union School District will hold its 6th annual Festival of the Arts event at
Grace Baptist Church on 22833 Copper Hill Drive, Santa Clarita. More than 300 students from all 15
schools will come together in a celebration of the arts. Students will exhibit their musical talents as
members of the Honors Chorus or Honors Band/Orchestra while others will recite original poetry or
showcase their beautifully crafted works of art.
The goal of the Festival is to provide our students an opportunity to express their musical/artistic talents
in front of friends, family and the community. Through this event, students gain self-confidence,
enhance their talents and develop a sense of community.
Students in grades TK to 6 can participate in poetry. If your child is interested in participating in the
poetry, please complete the form below and return it to your child’s teacher by Monday, March 21st
along with an original poem. The student who will represent the school will be selected by Thursday,
March 24, 2016.

Poesía al nivel de honores

El 20 de mayo a las 5:30 pm, Saugus Union School District, presentará su 6to evento Festival Anual de las Artes en
Grace Baptist Church, 22833 Copper Hill Drive, Santa Clarita. Más de 300 alumnos de las 15 escuelas se reunirán en
una celebración de las artes. Los estudiantes mostrarán sus talentos musicales como miembros del coro al nivel de
honores o banda al nivel de honores/orquesta mientras que otros recitarán la poesía original o mostrarán sus
bellas obras de arte.
El objetivo del festival es ofrecer a nuestros estudiantes una oportunidad para expresar su talento artístico/musical
delante de los amigos, la familia y la comunidad. A través de este evento, los estudiantes ganan confianza, mejorar
sus talentos y desarrollar un sentido de comunidad.
Los estudiantes de los grados escolares KT a 6 pueden participar en la poesía. Si su estudiante está interesado en
participar en la poesía, por favor complete el siguiente formulario debajo y devuélvalo al maestro de su hijo
antes del lunes, 21 de marzo. El estudiante que representa la escuela será seleccionado el jueves, 24 de marzo del
2016.
