Peripheral ocular shape, aberrations and refraction:
impact on myopia

ABSTRACT
I will describe measurements of the shape of the fundi of emmetropic and
myopic eyes using magnetic resonance imaging. The shapes will be compared
with measurements of peripheral refraction. I will discuss how lenses can
be designed to correct peripheral refractions and what effect these can
have on peripheral visual performance.
