Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram are just a few of the social media sites pre-teens and
teens use to communicate with friends and with the world. How do you make sure
your children are safe and using social media responsibly? Join Mary Beth Uberti,
from Operation: PARENT, as she guides you through privacy issues, use and guide-
lines of some of the most popular social media sites. You will come away with practical advice, social media contracts and strategies that will help your teen develop a
positive digital footprint.
DNA…Facts about Drugs and Alcohol
It’s hard to believe kids are now starting to experiment with drugs and alcohol as
early as 4th and 5th grade…but it’s a different world they’re growing up in. How do
parents keep their kids from getting swept up in today’s toxic culture? It’s not easy
but it can be done. It starts with raising awareness, learning early warning signs,
understanding misconceptions, effective communication and setting age-appropriate boundaries. This session provides the “jump start” parents need to stay one step
ahead of their children to keep them alcohol and drug-free!

pueden ayudar a sus hijos a mantener alejados y no dejarse arrastrar en la cultura tóxica de hoy?
No es fácil, pero se puede hacer. Se inicia con la sensibilización, aprendiendo los signos de alerta
temprana, las ideas falsas de comprensión, la comunicación efectiva y el establecimiento
de límites apropiados para su edad. Esta sesión proporciona a los padres “puesta en
marcha” tienen que estar un paso por delante de sus hijos para que no caigan en
las drogas y alcohol.
