What originated as a week-long celebration in 1968 has now morphed into a month-long observance that is celebrated throughout the country. Hispanic Heritage Month is a period to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the United States and to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and Culture. Ingredientes: 1 taza de azúcar granulada 1/2 taza de agua 1 lata (12 fl. oz.) de leche evaporada CARNATION Evaporated Milk 1 lata (14 oz.) de leche condensada CARNATION Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 paquete (8 oz.) de queso crema, suavizado 1/2 taza (1 barra) de mantequilla, suavizada 2 paquetes (1 oz. cada uno) de chocolate líquido para hornear sin endulzar NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Choco Bake 5 huevos grandes 1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla Preparación: 12 minutos PRECALIENTA el horno a 350º F. MEZCLA en una olla mediana el azúcar con el agua. Cocina la mezcla a fuego bajo, revolviéndola constantemente, de 3 a 4 minutos o hasta que el azúcar se disuelva. Aumenta la temperatura del fuego a medio-alto. Hierve la mezcla, sin batir, durante unos 15 minutos o hasta que la mezcla adquiera el color del caramelo. Rápidamente viértela sobre el fondo y los lados de 12 tazas de 6 onzas para flan (si el caramelo se endurece, derrítelo a fuego bajo). COLOCA en la licuadora la leche evaporada, la leche condensada, el queso crema, la mantequilla, el chocolate, los huevos y el extracto de vainilla. Licúa bien todo. Coloca la mezcla en las tazas que preparaste anteriormente. Ponlas en dos o tres moldes para hornear. Vierte en los moldes agua caliente hasta alcanzar una altura de 1 pulgada, haciendo un baño María. HORNEA durante 35 a 45 minutos o hasta que insertes un cuchillo en el centro y salga limpio. Deja que los moldes se enfríen sobre rejillas de alambre durante 20 minutos. Refrigéralos durante varias horas o durante la noche. Pasa un cuchillo por los bordes de las tazas.
