Education and Qualifications: Lake County has a real choice. The Assessor-Recorder’s Office needs an individual with a variety of skills to tackle the varied functions of the position. My wide-range of experience and education make me the best
choice.

My legal experience will ensure proper interpretation and compliance with laws
governing property values including Prop 13; and handling personal documents,
like birth and marriage certificates and deeds.
My Information Technology degree will bring departmental procedures into the
21st Century, saving public dollars and streamlining access to information.
My accounting experience allows me to effectively operate within budgetary constraints and the knowledge to accurately determine business property values.
My real estate experience gives me an understanding of the diverse Lake County
housing market and the basis to fairly determine real property values.
My Lake County Public Service experience includes the Behavioral Health Department, the Juvenile Justice Commission and the Konocti Rod & Gun Club.
When elected, I will dedicate myself to the office including solving the multi-year
backlog. I respectfully ask for your vote to greatly improve the important services

Education and Qualifications: My wife Ruthann and I live in Lakeport. This year
will be our 20th wedding anniversary. We have 2 young boys. My wife volunteers at
school and I am a Scoutmaster for Troop 39 in Lakeport.
Educación y Calificaciónes: Mi esposa Ruthann y yo vivimos en Lakeport. Este
año cumpliremos 20 años de casados. Tenemos dos hijos pequeños. Mi esposa
es voluntaria en una escuela y yo soy jefe de los exploradores de la tropa 39 en

I have worked in accounting for the last 20 years. I currently serve as the County of
Lake, Assistant Auditor-Controller. Before serving in my current position, I served
as a financial controller for 6 years.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University,
Dominguez Hills as well as a Masters of Business Administration from California
State University, Northridge. I bring 10 years of experience leading a team to the
office.
With tight budgets and a challenging economy, the next Assessor-Recorder will
need to have the skills to lead a department, prepare a budget, train and develop
employees, and work with other county departments. Addressing these challenges
and serving the public in a fair and impartial manner, as well as the ability to work
with departments within the county system will be crucial. My experience and training will be essential to help serve the needs of the public and provide strength to the
Assessor-Recorder office. Thank you for your consideration.

Lake. Antes de ocupar mi puesto actual, trabajé como contralor financiero durante
seis años.
Obtuve el grado de Licenciatura en Contabilidad por parte de la California State
University, Dominguez Hills, así como el título de Maestría en Administración de
Empresas por parte de la California State University, Northridge. Tengo 10 años
de experiencia en la dirección de equipos, misma que aportaré al cargo.
Con presupuestos apretados y una economía desafiante, el próximo
tasador-registrador deberá contar con las habilidades para dirigir un
departamento, preparar un presupuesto, capacitar y buscar el desarrollo de los
empleados y trabajar con otros departamentos del condado. Será esencial
enfrentar estos retos y atender al público de manera justa e imparcial, así como
tener la capacidad para trabajar con los departamentos que conforman el sistema
del condado. Mi experiencia y capacitación serán esenciales para ayudar a
atender las necesidades del público y para fortalecer el cargo de
