Dear Family,
Welcome once again. This is the fourth month of classes, and by now you and
your child should have a nice routine for working together at home.
In the next few weeks, your child will learn to:
■ Talk about past experiences:
Have you ever (been to Europe)?
Yes, I have. OR No, I haven’t.
You can work with your child to help him or her. You may wish to do any of the
following activities:
■ Scrapbook activity: Invite your child to write two entries called “Five Cool
Things I’ve Done in Life” and “Five Cool Things I Haven’t Done Yet” to post in
his or her scrapbook or blog. Encourage your child to illustrate the entries
with relevant drawings or photos. Choose verbs and their past participles
from the list on Student Book 6, page 93.
■ Install the English Adventure 6 CD-ROM on your child’s computer and instruct
him or her to play with Unit 4.
In this unit, your child will read a story involving characters from Disney’s
Monsters, Inc. (Student Book 6, page 33) where the characters talk about whether
they have ever been scared of anyone or anything before. Take this opportunity to
ask your child what—if anything—has scared him or her most. Discuss situations
in which he or she could justify being afraid and how he or she would protect
himself or herself.

hijo o hija ya deben haber encontrado una buena forma de trabajar juntos en casa.
En las próximas semanas, aprenderemos a:

Usted puede trabajar con su hijo para ayudarle. Pruebe hacer cualquiera de las
actividades que siguen:
■ Actividad con el scrapbook: Invite a su hijo o hija a escribir una entrada en el
scrapbook o el blog bajo el título “Five Cool Things I’ve Done in Life” (cinco
cosas padrísimas que he hecho en mi vida) o “FIve Cool Things I Haven’t
Done Yet” (cinco cosas que aún no he hecho). Guíe a su hijo o hija para que
ilustre los textos con fotos o dibujos. Elija verbos y sus conjugaciones en
pasado participio de la lista que se encuentra en la página 93 del Student
Book 6.
■ Instale English Adventure 6 CD-ROM en la computadora e invite a su hijo a
jugar con las actividades de la Unidad 4.
