In English, the children will learn how to
activate their background knowledge before
reading about a topic. They will learn how to
work in the Word Work Center. The students
will have a Word Study quiz on Wednesday.
In Spanish the children will discuss the
Question of the Week: What can we do
with our neighborhood friends? Also,
they will identity verbs in sentences.
They will recognize the difference
between reality and fantasy in text.
In math the student will work in their
Math Journals solving word problems.
They will also learn ways to know addition
facts quickly.
In Science, the students will learn
about what scientists do. They will begin
a unit on air and weather.
¡LO QUE VIENE!
En inglés, los niños aprenderán
cómo activar sus conocimientos previo
antes de leer sobre un tema. Ellos
aprenderán a trabajar en el Estudio de la
palabra. Los alumnos tendrán un examen
de las Palabras de Estudio el miércoles.
En español los niños comentaran
la pregunta de la semana: ¿Qué
podemos hacer con los amigos del
vecindario?
También,
reconocerán
verbos en una oración y reconocerán la
diferencia entre realismo y fantasía en el
texto.
En matemáticas los estudiantes
trabajarán en su Diario de Matemáticas
resolviendo problemas con palabras.
También aprenderán estrategias para
resolver operaciones de suma con mayor
rapidez.
En ciencias, los estudiantes
aprenderán acerca de lo que hacen los
científicos. Ellos comenzarán una unidad del
aire y del clima.
DON’T FORGET…HOMEWORK!!
The students are responsible for their own
homework. They need to take it out of their
folders by themselves every Friday.
The
teachers will give general reminders, but will
not take any homework out of folders.
Also, many homework packets are
returned without a name. Remind
your child to write their name on
their packet so they can be given
credit for doing their homework!!
NO SE OLVIDE DE
¡LAS ASIGNACIONES!
Los estudiantes son responsables de sus
deberes. Ellos necesitan sacar la tarea de sus
carpetas por sí mismos todos los viernes.Los
maestros dan recordatorios generales,
pero no tomarán ninguna tarea de las
carpetas de los niños.
También,
muchas
asignaciones
son
regresadas sin
nombre. Por favor,
recuérdele a su hijo en escribir su nombre
en su tarea, asi le podemos dar el debido
reconocimiento por hacer sus deberes.
