In the ART LAB we made family trees, created our own family portraits,
made frames for them, and made houses out of popsicle sticks!
Our Thematic Unit:
We spent these past two weeks leaning about our
families. This theme gave the students an
opportunity to understand how we are all part of a
family. We encouraged the students to tell us who
was in their family and discussed the different
roles of each family member. The students really
enjoyed our family theme because they got to talk
and engage in conversations about their families.
They were able to bring their real life experiences
from home into the classroom in new and exciting
ways!

In the MATH LAB we used magna tiles to create homes for their families
as well as played family bingo.
In the SCIENCE LAB we used ink pads to create finger prints
representing each person in our families.
In the DRAMATIC PLAY LAB we played different roles of our family
members and prepared for a family party!
In the BLOCK Lab we used multicultural people and blocks to create
homes for our families.
Notes from the Nurse:
The nurse reminds parents that all preschoolers will
need a flu shot by December 31, 2016 in order to
attend school. OHI will provide free flu shots at
Piner and the LECC in December. More information
including exact dates to follow!

En el laboratorio de arte hemos hecho el árbol familiar, creamos
nuestros propios retratos de familia, con marcos hechos por ellos y
casas hechas de palitos de helados!
Nuestra unidad temática:
Pasamos estas dos últimas semanas aprendiendo
sobre nuestras familias. Este tema dio a los
estudiantes la oportunidad de entender cómo todos
somos parte de una familia. Animamos a los
estudiantes a decirnos quienes formaban su familia y
debatieron los diferentes roles de cada miembro de la
familia. Los estudiantes realmente disfrutaron del
tema de nuestra familia porque pudieron hablar y
participar en conversaciones acerca de sus familias.

laboratorio de ciencias usamos almohadillas de tinta para crear
impresiones dactilares que representa cada persona en nuestras
familias.

En el juego dramático LAB hemos desempeñado diferentes roles de los
miembros de nuestra familia y se preparó para una fiesta familiar En el
bloque Lab hemos utilizado la gente multicultural y bloques para crear
viviendas para nuestras familias.
