1. What does BIMO stands for?
BIMO stands for BIM Innovation Office
2. What is the objective of having a BIMO at
ENGworks?
The objective is to make our processes more
efficient trough technology in order to perform
our services with the least waste of time and
effort and the highest quality.
3. How does BIMO achieve that goal?
With everyone’s help. That means that if you
find in your daily job something that you think
could be done faster or in an easier way and
that task has a high impact in projects, then
you should bring it up to your Project Manager
and he/she will take this thought to the BIMO.
4. Every time I bring up an idea it will be
resolved?
Not necessarily. There will be a committee that
will meet regularly and will decide which ideas
need to be work on taking into account the
impact those tasks represent on the workload.
5. If the idea I brought up is considered for
research, will it be done immediately?
The committee mentioned above, will decide
the impact of working on that idea right away
vs working on the other ones brought up by
others and will determine a list of prioritized
ideas to work on.
6. Does Innovation mean that a new
development will be required for each new
issue brought up?
Not necessarily. The first action will always be
research. If the BIMO can´t find an answer to
the request/ issue already done, it will be
decided depending on the level of impact of
Idea if a development will be needed.

1. Qué significa BIMO?
BIMO es el nombre que representa al Área de
Innovación Tecnológica BIM
2. Cuál es el objetivo de tener un área de
Innovación Tecnológica en ENGworks?
El Objetivo es hacer nuestros procesos más
eficientes a través de la tecnología para
realizar nuestros servicios en la menor cantidad
de tiempo, con el menor esfuerzo y la más alta
calidad.
3. Cómo haría el Área de Innovación
Tecnológica para lograr ese objetivo?
Con la ayuda de todos. Esto significa, que si en
tu trabajo diario encontras algo que consideras
podría hacerse de manera más fácil o rápida, y
dicha actividad tiene un alto impacto en
proyectos, entonces deberías acercarle esta
inquietud al Project Manager con quien
trabajas para que éste lo acerque a BIMO.
4. Cada vez que presente una idea: será
trabajada por BIMO?
No necesariamente. Habrá un comité que se
reuniría regularmente y decidirá las ideas en
las que se trabajará y el orden en que se
realizara este trabajo, considerando el impacto
que cada una de ellas tiene sobre el
trabajo/proyectos.
5. Si la idea que presente es considerada
parte de aquellas que serán investigadas,
eso se hará de manera inmediata?
El comité antes mencionado, decidirá el
impacto de trabajar en esa idea de manera
inmediata o de trabajar en otras y determinara
una lista de ideas priorizadas.
6. Por innovación se entiende que ante cada
idea se requerirá un nuevo desarrollo para
dar respuesta?

7. Who will be working on the BIMO?
The BIMO, at the beginning, will have a Director
in charge and a Specialist. This team could
grow in the future but almost everyone can
work on the BIMO on different stages of
Research, development and/ or testing. The
Director will be Victor Amaya and the Specialist
will be Valentin Noves.
8. Will BIMO positions have a full time
involvement on such tasks?
Initially BIMO positions will have partial
involvement from Director and Specialist.
9. Does this mean that if I know of a possible
solution for a problem I shouldn´t bring it
up because BIMO should be in charge of
this?
No, this will be as usual, if you have a possible
solution, you can discuss it with your PM.
No necesariamente. Siempre, la primera acción
a realizar será investigar. Si BIMO no
encontrase una solución ya desarrollada, se
decidirá si se requiere un desarrollo.
7. Quién serán parte de BIMO?
Inicialmente, el área estará formada por un
Director a cargo y un especialista. Este equipo
podría crecer en el futuro, pero casi todos los
integrantes de ENGworks podrán participar en
las diferentes etapas de Investigación,
desarrollo y prueba entre otras. El Director
será Victor Amaya y el especialista Valentin
Noves.
8. Las posiciones de BIMO, serán de
dedicación exclusiva y completa de
tiempo?
Inicialmente las posiciones de BIMO tendrán
dedicación parcial de tiempo.
9. La creación de esta área implica que si
encuentro una posible solución a un
problema no debo presentarla porque es
responsabilidad de BIMO?
No, esto seguirá funcionando como hasta
ahora, si encontras una posible solución,
deberás revisar su posible aplicación con el PM
con quien estés trabajando.
