Manassas City Police Department Crime Report December 2, 2014 Theft from Motor Vehicle On November 26, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9300 block of Grant Ave for a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. The reporting party told officers that at approximately 11:45AM, he had seen three men hastily taking items out of a work truck and putting them into the back of a blue Honda Ridgeline which they had parked alongside the work truck. The witness told officers that he had not believed the incident to be suspicious until the same Honda truck aggressively cut in front of him and ran a red light further down the road at the intersection of Grant Ave and Center St. The suspect vehicle was last seen turning left onto Wellington Rd from Grant Ave. The victim, who was inside a business at 9300 Grant Ave at the time of the theft, told officers that a Honda generator, valued at approximately $2,500.00, had been stolen out of the back of his truck. Destruction of Property – Arrest At approximately 12:50AM on November 29, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to Old Town Inn, located at 9405 Main St, for a report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers discovered 44-year-old Jeffery DAVIS had broken through the window of one of the rooms. At the request of officers, he stepped out of the room and was detained without incident. Upon further investigation, officers found several items of furniture that had been overturned and damaged inside the room he had broken into, in addition to another room which DAVIS had rented a few days prior to the incident. Total damages approached $1,000.00. DAVIS, of 11816 Bradley Forest Rd, Manassas, VA 20112, was charged with unlawful entry and felony destruction of property. He was held on a $2,500.00 bond and has a pending court date of January 27, 2015.
