VIII Congreso Internacional de Excelencia VIII International Congress of Excellence Madrid Excelente promueve el uso de las nuevas tecnologías como palanca de crecimiento económico Madrid Excelente promotes the use of new technologies as a lever for economic growth La presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes, clausuró el pasado 25 de abril el VIII Congreso Internacional de Excelencia “La economía digital: mercados y oportunidades”, organizado por Madrid Excelente, en el que señaló que, con el propósito de apoyar a las empresas en su transformación digital para que sean más competitivas, su Gobierno va a poner en marcha varias iniciativas, entre ellas la creación de un cheque de innovación destinado a proyectos de I+D+i para pymes; un plan de actuación para el impulso de transferencia tecnológica, y otro con el objetivo atraer y retener talento. En el marco del Congreso se celebró la I Edición de los Premios a la Excelencia de la Persona, y se entregaron los reconocimientos a la trayectoria humana y profesional de las sobresalientes personalidades que, con su dedicación y trabajo, han conseguido destacar en sus campos, como es el caso del expresidente de la Comisión Europea, José Manuel Durão Barroso; el CEO de Amadeus, Luis Maroto; el fundador de la Organización Nacional de Trasplantes, el Dr. Rafael Matesanz; la fundadora y CEO de Rekindle Learning, Rapelang Rabana; y de S.M. la Reina Doña Sofía, quien recibió el premio de manos de la presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes, por la gran labor humanitaria que ha desarrollado al frente de múltiples causas sociales, educativas y sanitarias.
