held in Guayaquil - Ecuador in October 2013, agreed to further deepen a
space for the construction of the defense as a public good in world
geopolitics, culture of peace and participation women in the armed forces.”

General Purpose
To establish responsibilities, competencies and skills to ensure the successful planning
and execution of the Second Meeting of Ministers and Women Leaders of Defense
activities.
Place and date of the activity
The activity will be held at the Hotel Gran Meliá Caracas, located at Cassanova Avenue,
street Recreation, Urb Sabana Grande, on 18 and 19 June 2014.

Uniform or costume
The opening ceremony of the meeting and the official photograph will be held in gala
uniform (military) or formal dress (civilian representatives)
Food
The event organizers will provide breakfast, lunch and snacks daily activity to the
delegations.
Housing
Housing costs for the Minister of Defense or the representative authority of the country
will be taken over the organizing body for the rest of the delegation agreed corporate rates
with the Hotel Gran Melia Caracas.

 The Hotel "Gran Meliá Caracas" is a five (5) star located on Avenida Casanova, Calle
Recreation, Urb Sabana Grande hotel. It has an excellent view of Warairarepano National
Park and the Park Caobos has direct access to the shopping center "El Recreo" and the
Boulevard de Sabana Grande.
Transportation and Safety
Internal transfers from the "Simon Bolivar" Vargas state Maiquetia International Airport
to "Gran Meliá Caracas" Hotel, and security will be covered by the host country.
Climate
The temperature in the city of Caracas has a mountain climate intertropical and
pleasant for most of the year. Temperatures do not vary much from one station to another,

Formalities of entry
All delegates will require a passport valid for at least six (06) months to enter the country
for a period of up to ninety (90) days without a visa.

The currency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is the Bolivar Fuerte (AU $). The
official exchange rate is BsF 11.30 per U.S. dollar (USD). For convenience a locker to exchange
currency at the Official Hotel was enabled.
Electricity
Electricity in all of Venezuela is 110 volts / 60 CA.
The International Airport of Maiquetia
The International Airport of Maiquetia Simon Bolivar is considered the most important in
Venezuela and Latin America for its air traffic and passengers. It is located approximately 30-60
minutes from Gran Caracas, in the city of Maiquetia (Vargas State) has two terminals, one for
domestic routes and one for international routes. He was one of the few airports in the world to
receive the supersonic Concorde aircraft to mid-90s, which were operated by the two airlines

CARACAS AND AROUND
Caracas, officially Santiago de León de Caracas, is the capital of the Bolivarian Republic
of Venezuela city and the most important administrative, financial, commercial and
cultural center of the nation . It is located in the country's north-central area about 15 km
from the Caribbean Sea and is situated in a mountain valley at an average altitude of 900
meters. Warairarepano mountain is mostly green lung and is the geographical feature
that separates the city from central Venezuelan coast, connected to it through Caracas La Guaira highway for three viaducts and two tunnels that allow you to link the capital in
20 minutes with the Caribbean coast and the country's main airport , the International
Airport of Maiquetia Simon Bolivar. Caracas is framed within a valley system of the

The National Pantheon, the holiest place in Caracas. Inside are over 160 tombs of
important figures in the history of Venezuela. The nave, dedicated to Simon Bolivar, notable
for its splendid bronze sarcophagus. (Hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 12.00 h and from
14.30 to 17.00 Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00 h....)
The Warairarepano National Park extends north along, between the coast and
Caracas. A green belt of mountains (highest peak is 2765 meters Naiguatá with altitude),
populated by homes and small farms, with interesting circuits for practice ATVs. It has over
200 km of hiking trails, campsites and all the facilities for tourists.
The headquarters of the Mountain (also known as Military History Museum)
It is located in the field of the plains in the parish January 23 Libertador Municipality in
the Capital District west of Caracas.
